Marilyn Gale Vilyus

I am so thankful to Eric Schmidt (my attorney) and the rest of the staff at the Law Office of Gale Vilyus. Eric was very patient with me despite the fact that I bombarded him and the staff there with questions regarding my uncontested divorce on a regular basis. My husband and I flip flopped a few t...imes on the terms but they never got frustrated with us even though we kept changing our minds. I really felt like the staff communicated well with me when Eric was unavailable to answer my questions. They were really sweet and made me feel like I wasn't crazy for getting upset and frustrated during this difficult time in my life. I have already recommended them to several friends and co-workers and would recommend them to anyone looking for a smaller more intimate office where you know you are going to get very personal service and not just be a number.

I really felt like they cared about me and my divorce! They gave me different options for how we could divide our property which helped because my spouse was being very difficult. Also, they came up with a special way we could do our visitation! That really meant a lot to me that they worked so ...hard to meet my needs when it wasn't easy. They were quick to answer my questions whenever I called or emailed them. I have referred several friends to them who have also had good experiences!

My divorce was recently finalized, and I cannot thank the Law Office of Marilyn Gale Vilyus and Eric Schmidt enough. I really felt like everyone there took such good care of me during this potentially traumatizing time. My divorce was really difficult and complicated. They did a great job working wit...h the other attorney, and they managed to help me stay calm when upset. We were able to settle through the mediator which kept our costs down. Tiffany was my case manager, and she was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them because they are efficient and affordable.

If only I knew what I was getting into! I hired Marilyn for the easiest, most cooperative, amicable divorce ever. My ex and I were in agreement with everything and did not have one single disagreement about how to divide assets. We hired her early April and despite the 90 day period we were told u...pfront, we did not get to finalize until the VERY LAST DAY of the year possible to get a divorce at the end of December. There was absolutely NO reason for it to take this long, other than the fact that this office is so unreliable, unorganized, and just plain doesn't care about anything other than payment. They did not return phone calls or emails. The staff changed over a few times. No one seemed to know anything. I only spoke to Marilyn herself about 2 times (first visit and court date). Even after court date, finalizing other things took forever and ended up messing up our finances. For such an extremely trying and emotional process, Marilyn's office made it twice the pain that it needed to be. When you are going through divorce, the actual paperwork should not be such a task. I only hired her because I thought it would make things easier and less stressful, when in fact it did quite the opposite! What a complete waste of my money. I would rather have done it all on my own. THAT would have been easier that dealing with Marilyn and her office staff.
