Leroy Scott
I received Leroy scott’s number from a friend when I was having trouble finding a good lawyer. Leroy was very personable, professional, and helpful. I was dealing with a case that I didn’t think I had a good chance of winning and he went the extra mile to make sure justice was served and we won the c...

Excellent
I was being taken advantage of by two large corporations. I struggled for years and no one at the corporation would listen to me. Everyone I talked to told me something different and I just did not know what to do. I got tired of being passed from person to person and department to department. When...

Corporate Law Suit w/ Mattress Firm
I/we purchased a Temper-Pedic mattress from Mattress Firm in Oct. 2013. When the mattress was delivered, it came tarnished, stained and torn. I reached out the the sales representative that originally sold us the unit and to no avail, he was no where to be found. I called and called, sent emails a...

Unprofessional
Unprofessional and petty. It felt like it was more about his ego and less about my case. I also wonder if he has something against women, since I've noticed other women writing the same type of review.
I take my obligation to keep client information secret very seriously. However, I do not have to sit by and let someone damage my reputation. Pursuant to Texas Disciplinary Rule of Professional Conduct 1.05(d), “[a] lawyer also may reveal unprivileged client information… (2) When the lawyer has reason to believe it is necessary to do so in order to: … (ii) defend the lawyer or the lawyer's employees or associates against a claim of wrongful conduct.” I believe this response is necessary to defend myself against a claim of wrongful conduct. This is a completely unfair and untrue review. This potential client contacted me AFTER her case was already dismissed by the court because she did not know what she was doing. At this stage in a case, a party is required to take specific steps within a very short period of time to avoid getting the case dismissed forever. She had filed a notice of appeal on her own, but the lawyer for the other side was moving to get the appeal dismissed stating that she did not do some of the things she was supposed to do. I reviewed the case documents and saw exactly why her case was dismissed and why the lawyer on the other side was trying to dismiss her appeal. Luckily, she contacted me with enough time to fix the problems and get her a new trial. I told her what she needed to do to get another chance to present her case again. She did not want to do what was required and instead wanted to complain about the legal system in general. Please understand that most legal rules have been around long before I was born. I did not make them. If I tell a client that X, Y, and Z needs to be done to prevent a case from being dismissed, it is not because of my ego or because I do not care about the case. Instead, it is because I am trying to follow the rules to the best of my ability so that my client can get the best result possible. She disagreed with me about what the rules and the law were. I even sent her the rules and the case law that I was basing my opinion on. She still thought she knew better. Anyway, I know how to perfect an appeal because that is my job and I have done it many times before. Frankly, practicing law is hard enough without having to argue with a client about how to perfect an appeal. Is that ego? I do not have something against women, and I have not seen any reviews from women saying that I treated them in an unprofessional and petty way. If any woman client or potential client feel disrespected because of her gender, I urge you to let me know. This person did not know what was coming her way in her lawsuit and I tried to warn her to no avail. She has since learned the hard way and has been reaching out to my office for help. No, thank you. I do not want to work with this person as a client! If that makes me unprofessional and petty, then so be it, but she cannot say I gave her incorrect or incompetent legal advice.
"Leroy is an excellent attorney committed to providing the highest quality representation to clients. I endorse this attorney without reservation."
