My law practice focuses on estate planning, probate, guardianship and elder law. Specifically, I prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other estate planning documents and give comprehensive consultation regading estate planning. I help families and individuals settle the estates of their loved ones through the probate process and then guide them through estate administration to settle any estate matters. I represent clients in heirship matters, when there is a death with no last will and testament. I also represent clients who need to become appointed as a Guardian for an incapacited or disabled person.
For additional detailed information, please see my website at www.bacarisselaw.com.
I have helped my clients solve problems in complicated estate administration matters involving debts, family conflict and unintended results from poor estate planning. I enjoy speaking and giving presentations to groups on the importance of proper estate planning. I previously served as the President of the Disability and Elder Law Attorneys Association (DELAA) in Houston and I am a member of the Houston Bar Association Probate Section.
My firm offers a complimentary initial consultation and I offer an up front agreement regarding costs for potential clients if we decide to work together. Estate planning and document preparation is usually charged at a flat rate. Probate, guardianship and elder law matters are billed hourly. If necessary, I offer nursing home, hospital and home consultations for clients who may be too ill to come to my office, for an additional nominal charge. I work with clients to find a payment arrangement that meets their needs, payable by check or credit card.
I enjoy helping my clients and bring a personal and caring approach to my law practice. I grew up in Houston and graduated from St. Thomas Episcopal School, Baylor University and South Texas College of Law. I am married and have two children who attend Baylor University.
