Kate McConnico is Board Certified in Family Law and has been practicing both family and civil trial law since 1996. She strives to help clients reach amicable, economically wise solutions before resorting to litigation.
After witnessing the loss of time and money that contested litigation can cause clients, her mission is to focus on mediation, arbitration, and counseling individuals regarding positive and practical solutions to their legal problems.
Kate’s practice experience includes: complex property division in the context of divorce, mediation and estate planning, collaborative law, serving as a court appointed mediator and analyzing over 250 settlements as a guardian ad litem in personal injury cases involving children.
Specific family law experience includes divorce proceedings, property characterization, valuation and division, child support modifications, modifications of visitation and parental rights, enforcement of court orders, pre-marital agreements, post-marital asset protection, adoptions, estate planning in the context of family law, mediations and collaborative law divorce settlements. Kate has tried jury and non-jury cases and arbitrations in Harris, Galveston, Montgomery, Brazoria and Fort Bend Counties.
Kate enjoys competitive sailing, being with her family, traveling, reading, sporting clays shooting, the arts and volunteering to help underprivileged families through the Houston Bar Association and Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas.

Do not hire her
So many things wrong here. Besides the fact that her follow through is terrible (forever to return calls...over a week sometimes, etc), everything she told me would happen went the exact opposite. In 16 hours of mediation she caved to the mediator every single time. I had to call her out and say H...
