Todd Slobin is a board certified labor and employment law attorney at Shellist Lazarz Slobin LLP. He is one of the few attorneys who is qualified to claim himself an expert in employment law. He works tirelessly on behalf of clients and represents them in cases involving executive agreements, severance agreements, employment contracts,sexual harrassment and more. In recent years, I have resolved many cases for executives where the net recovery to the clients was in excess of one million dollars. For example, $1,139,; $1,148,; $1,299,; and $1,867,. In 2011, I had the top verdict in Texas in employment law with a $3,200,000 verdict shared by three clients. In addition to executive cases, I have been lead-counsel in several national collective action cases under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and have secured several multi-million dollar nationwide wage and hour class-action settlements. I also manage cases under various state and federal laws, including Title VII and Title IX cases, the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”), the Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act, the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (“USERRA”), and other employment statutes.

He was a former Chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Houston Bar Association (2007-2008). He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Houston Bar Association. He is also a former Labor & Employment Law Exam Commission Member of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization; the Commission designs and grades the Labor & Employment Law Board Certification exam.

He is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the Northern District of Texas, the Southern District of Texas, the Western District of Texas, and all Texas state courts.

Since 2005, he has continually received the honor of being named a Super Lawyer® (a Thomson Reuters service), and I received the honor of Top Lawyer from H Texas magazine in 2013. In 2013, 2014, and 2015, I also received the Top Lawyers honor in the “Best of Houstonia” issues of Houstonia Magazine, sponsored by Green Bank, and I was a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow in 2015-2016.
