Money only Lawfirm

I prepared an outline with all the details of my case and called them to evaluate it (emailed them before the call). The outline is for their convenience to have a quick look if they are busy. They said they went through my case and I need to pay $150 to talk to the lawyer. I am ok with the consult...ing fee. I ask them: "$150 for how long?" The only response I got was "I am not the lawyer and I cannot answer any questions." I asked three times and got the same answer. I don't think my question is rude or unreasonable. I just want to know how many minutes I can talk to the attorney(Jerry Z. Zhang) if I spend the $150. The assistant has a very rude attitude and is not helpful at all! The only thing she's letting me do is pay the money. If you can endure this bad attitude then go for it. Otherwise, I do not recommend them!

If you want an RFE, hire this firm

My case was reasonably strong, I'd say, since some friends of mine with weaker profiles got a green card without RFE. But Zhang and Associates fully succeeded in getting me an RFE. I had news highlights for mt research, which they advised me not to include in my application. In the petition letter th...ey drafted, they made my research look weak. Inexperienced with the process, I trusted their decisions and then got an RFE. I saw another applicant's petition letter and realized my mistake in letting them prepare my petition letter. My case was dealt with like an assembly line. One person looked at my letters, another my list of evidences and yet another wrote the petition letter, while an individual called Mr Mai was my point of contact. After I got to know about this, I requested Mr Zhang to change my attorney. At least he was nice enough to give me an attorney who handled all aspects of the documents. Eventually I got my I140 approved. But each and every little thing was prepared by me for the RFE response.

Very little actual legal advise

I have had very poor experience with this law firm. As other reviews mention, this group is not knowledgeable at all and you practically end up preparing all your documentation by yourself. I got an RFE because my case was not prepared very well, did not have all the necessary information (which the ...lawyer never pointed out to me) and in the end I am paying an additional $1000 to respond to the RFE. Even then I had to do all the work including the research about how to respond, writing all the reference letters, preparing and organizing all the documents and come up with additional evidence. They are basically collecting the check and doing nothing except providing some very basic general guidelines. Unless you have a case which is so obviously strong that you will be approved anyway do not hire these people.

Poor Service

This group is not knowledgeable. They are disorganized and will cause RFE to be generated for the simplest reasons due to poor preparation and lack of attention to detail. Like the other reviewer mentioned, you basically drive the case while they collect the check. They give no legal advise until ...you ask, they have no strategy for issues that come up. English language is a problem at this firm from the top down--it is clear in their communication on the phone, in emails and cover letters to USCIS. I caught so many blunders they made on my case. There were points in my case with opportunities to efile but was told the firm doesn't efile. Please go elsewhere, this firm is not up to snuff. My employer is extremely disappointed in hiring this law firm. I would go to another lawfirm for employer based immigration, these folks will certainly get you into a mess that another lawyer must clean up. My current lawyer is beyond incensed by the poor work these folks did especially given how straight forward my case was.

A good marking guy but not a trust attorney

His firm is quite big in Chinese community. With China's economy booming, this firm is always busy. I'm trying to make my comments fair and so other people can decide whether to use the service. First no lawyer really worked on my case. In stead, there is an assistant - an old Chinese lady. Her ...English is just so so. Secondly, I have no compliant to prepare all supporting documents for my case. However, I always felt it's me taking the lead for my case. She has no clue how to respond RFE and I had to buy DIY kit from ebay and put all the words by myself. Basically, she helped to bind all paper together and mailed out. Third, they always under estimated how difficult to win a case. Third, Zhang has been busy to do marketing in China and other places but won't spend time to review your case and gave his instructions to his assistant. By the way, the old lady name is Linda Gong. Hope you don't work with her. Conclusion, they follow procedures very well. If you have a strong case, go for it. But if you have a ok case, don't take risk.
