I retained Peter Viles through Marble Law to assist with my N-400 naturalization application, and I regret the decision. His handling of my case was negligent, unprofessional, and put my future as a U.S. citizen at risk. Here are the major issues I experienced: • It took over 6 months for Mr. Vi...les to file my application, despite having the necessary documents early in the process. I had to constantly follow up just to get updates or make sure anything was being done. • When the application was finally submitted, it contained major factual errors: • My marital history was incorrect. • My son’s name and date of birth were completely omitted. • My current wife’s details were missing or inaccurate. • Several of my international trips were either left out or had the wrong dates. • He also failed to properly address my past arrests, delaying the collection of court dispositions and not explaining what was needed or how it would impact my case. When I pointed out these errors and asked him to refile the corrected application and cover the new filing fee, he refused — despite the fact that the mistakes were entirely on his end. In the end, I had no choice but to retain a different attorney to clean up the damage and move my case forward correctly. I believe I wasted both time and money working with Mr. Viles and would strongly caution anyone considering him for an immigration matter. If your immigration future is important to you, I would advise looking elsewhere for competent legal help.
