Marian Richardson’s practice is primarily in the areas of general business and transactional law including entity selection and formation, contract review, merger and acquisitions, commercial real estate matters including lease review and negotiation and bank loan documentation. Her clients range from small start-up companies to publicly traded multinational corporations in industries such as manufacture and sale/rental of directional drilling motors, chemical supply and banking.
Currently, Ms. Richardson is a member of the Corporate Counsel section of the Houston Bar Association and the Business Section of the State Bar of Texas. She has been a speaker for the Houston CPA Society covering various topics related to business entities.
Ms. Richardson is also active in the community and has served as an officer and member of the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Houston. She previously served as chairperson of the Rotary Club’s Burnett Bayland Committee and continues to work with the young people at this juvenile detention center. She volunteered for 20 years with the Houston Marathon and has now become an active participant by completing the Chevron Houston Marathon for the second time.
Born in beautiful Beaumont, Texas, Ms. Richardson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with BBA in Finance (cum laude) and a JD. While in law school, she was selected to write for the Legal Research Board. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1985.
