Shawn Michael Rudisel

I have several Top Attorneys as friends but I could not use them because it would have been a conflict of interest. Shawn Rudisel's office staff is TERRIBLE. They NEVER return phone calls. They do not return emails until you contact Shawn and complain. I had a pretty simple divorce but it took ju...st under six months to finalize it (with no kids). The day my divorce was to be finalized, Shawn showed up to court over an hour late then said he had to leave for another appointment that was in four hours, and so I went to court for nothing. One week later, I had to go back to court to have my divorce finalized, and Shawn hired a contract Attorney to represent me on that day. I was shocked. I have also requested an itemized bill from his Paralegal, Angel, three times and still have never received it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ATTORNEY AT ALL. His retainer fee is $5,000 and it is not worth spending that kind of money.

This was the worst experience that I have ever had with a family lawyer. I was treated more as an inconvenience rather than a client who was in a family crisis. He does not return your calls, nor does his paralegal, Angel. They have made numerous mistakes. They did not keep me updated on my case,... nor inform me of any changes, including change of lawyers during my mediation. There are so many lawyers in Houston, choose anyone but him.

Very personable and easy to work with. First time going through something like this and to have Mr. Rudisel in my corner was a huge relief throughout my whole divorce. The ladies in the office are all awesome and very helpful with any questions or concerns I may have. Talking with Mr. Rudisel was lik...e talking with a close friend that had your back in a tough time and I appreciate everything his practice did for me.

Shawn shut it down!!!! He’s very knowledgeable about court and all the judges in Houston. There was never a time that Shawn said “I don’t know” He was WELL worth the money! He does get busy at times but what do you expect when the best attorney in Houston is your lawyer? He got to the point and didn’...t waste a lot of time. He told us how to strategize and win! No regrets. We 100% support Shawn and The Rudisel Law Firm!
