It all started with a night that should not have happened, but it did. One thing led to the next and before I knew it I was behind a police unit, handcuffed! It has been a little over 3 years since I've moved to Houston and never did I think I would be in this kind of trouble. Earlier that day a co-w...orker of mind handed me some Adderall , he stated, "It will help me get more work done and stay focused" at first I refused, but he sold me on the fact that great results would follow, so I stuck the pills into the chest pocket of my coat. Later that night I was in an altercation that caused police officers to have probable cause and search me. After, they found the pills, they asked me if I had a prescription? Obviously said No, so they charged me with possession of a controlled substance, there was exactly seven and a half pills in the bag my co-worker gave me. After getting out of jail, I was in search for a lawyer, this was the FIRST time something like this had happened to me so I didn't want to get stuck in a sticky situation where the Judicial System could take advantage of me. So I asked my manager if he knew of any attorneys that could perhaps help me. He suggested Mr. Harkins, to make a long story short. My case was dismissed due to a technicality!! I am so happy and grateful for this outcome! I will defiantly refer my friends and family to Mike Harkins!

I visited Houston in late 2014 and had too much to drink at a Fourth Ward bar and to my shock and dismay, upon my return up north after a traffic stop I was informed that I had a warrant out of Texas for criminal trespassing! I lost my friend inside the bar and went outside to look for him and tried... to get back in bar after I couldn't find him. Bottom line, cops were called because I wouldn't leave without my friend and hence the trespassing case. After hearing of the warrant, I was afraid I may get thrown in jail and couldn't risk losing my job. I decided to go down to Houston from my home in the Midwest to take care of the warrant. Michael told me it would be difficult to get everything done in 3 days but that he had a very good relationship with certain folks at the district court and that if anyone could get this entire case done in 3 days, it was him. I arrived on a Monday in Houston paid my bond, and was back on a plane to the Midwest by Wednesday with the entire case done and over with! I had to pay some fines but I could not afford to have to come back to Houston or wait a week to go to court, my livelihood would have been at stake. So I was extremely happy with the results Mr Harkins produced. Furthermore, Mr Harkins is as cool calm and collected and mild mannered as anyone. He was a pleasure to deal with. If you need someone with experience, connections, and class, Mr. Harkins is the guy. Oh yeah, and his rate was very reasonable considering the intracacy of my timing request.
