William Stafford Morian III

Having served as a felony prosecutor at the Harris County District Attorney's Office, I bring inside knowledge and extensive courtroom experience to my criminal defense practice. I handle a wide variety of cases, including murder, drug offenses, intoxication offenses, assaultive offenses, white-collar crimes, and sex crimes. With a deep understanding of what it takes to successfully prosecute tough cases, I use that experience to stand up for my clients and protect their rights.

I also serve as the City Attorney for the City of Jasper, where I advise city leaders on matters involving ethics, personnel, ordinances, contracts, land use, taxes, and finance. I stay up to date on changes to state and federal laws that affect the city, keep elected officials and staff informed, draft ordinances and contracts, and carefully review all agreements to ensure the city’s legal interests are protected.

My courtroom experience in high-level criminal trials has sharpened my skills as a litigator, giving me a significant advantage when representing clients in personal injury and civil cases. Many civil attorneys rarely step inside a courtroom, but trial work is where I am most comfortable. If a big insurance company tries to take advantage of my client, I am prepared to take the case to trial and hold them accountable.
