Don't believe the reviews. She is so out of her depth (child custody case) and did not do anything besides tell me to stop emailing her. I literally retained her for 1 week where she didn't do anything but take $2087. She has a clause in her contract saying she'll take 1500 nonrefundable precisely be...cause a lot of people probably fire her. She took $2087 for 1 week of "work" consisting of emails telling me to stop bothering her. Ridiculous. I was literally spiraling until I retained my current lawyer. Night and day difference.

When seeking for a tough, experienced attorney to defend the custodial relationship with my children I had several recommendations by various people, with Thao Tran being one of them. Speaking to Ms. Tran from the initial consultation she inspired trust and instant support, thus knew she was the one ...I needed. From the start she analyzed my case and didn't bother to sugarcoat or promise any unrealistic results. Of course, as any defendant, you would rather hear and know that all will favor your case, but I appreciate much more the sincerity with which she approached mine. I've been on this case for close to a year fighting to see my child more. I received a last minute email from the district attorney notifiying me I had court in 3 more days! I was in panic mode, no lawyer, no paper evidence ready to present to the judge. I called Thao for a consultation & possibly hi...re her as a lawyer. She met me the next day for consultation. Upon arrival the following day, she told me to calm down, relax. Choose from 3 options, told me what to bring & what to do if you want this case settled. I was still unsure because I'm waking in to a unknown territory w/ no lawyer present. I offered her 2-3 times in our meeting to be my lawyer & I would have problem paying her. I just wanted someone in the courtroom that knows the law. She refused? Why? She was so confident that everything will be fine.. She didn't want to take my cash which is NOT what your typical lawyer would do. Told me she didn't want to cheat me & it wouldn't be right to take my money! It wouldn't be fair for me just showing up in court & haven't work on the case which usually take a minimum of 3 months to prepare. I just paid her for the consultation. Over all, she is amazing. No wonder she has nothing but great review. I emailed thxing her for her advice right after court that I won the case! Told her I couldn't have done so without her! I still feel like I owe her way much more then what she did & the amazing person she really is! Best reguard! From a loving father just trying to be in my child life. She made that happen. Ms. Tran handled all the details of our custody modification and as difficult and trying as it was she remained driven to get the results we desperately needed. Ms. Tran has very reasonable rates without compromising her efforts. Ms. Tran has a very highly competitive work ethic while giving us comf...ort knowing that she was fighting to protect our interests. I was never worried that opposing counsel would try and pull something that she could not handle as she had no issue putting them in their place.
