Terisa was my attorney for almost 10 years. She stuck by my side through thick and thin. Although sometimes I felt as if she was not "working" on my case or did not know what was going on, she really did! She just did not have the time to talk to me on the phone and rehash my entire case over and ove...r. It was for my benefit because it would have cost me more in the end. When we walked into court, I realized she knew what was going on. She was so dedicated that by the 9th year when my pockets were empty, she stopped charging me and remained my attorney because she believed in me!

Worst experience I have had since the divorce. She seemed nice enough, but I was in the dark about my case for the entire year. My case was passed off to a few different associates, so I never knew who I was dealing with. I spoke with her 2 xs in the year, once with a new girl she was passing me off... to. The child support amendment case has been closed for months, but apparently after they file with the court their job is over. It is now my responsibility to file with the Attorney General to enforce support, even though they got the order of enforcement. After 30 days you are on your own, regardless if anything has been enforced. And Lord forbid you express concern, unless you want to be informed 3 months later that you now owe another huge chunk of change.. You know for emails and calls that have been made.. If the AG ''loses' your paperwork (sounds to me like it was initially not even turned in) you are on your own and not their problem. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone. They say she is a bull dog in court, but you will probably not even have her personally represent you. I am definitely not one to leave negative feedback, and it's never any fun dealing with lawyers and court, but I feel like people need a heads up on what to expect when they are dishing out a $6000 start up fee and paying thousands afterwards for representation in a court of law. I would hope that there are friendlier more involved law firms in the big city of Houston that are employable for the people.. And I also hope that I never have to deal with any of them again.. Thank Goodness for the court appointed amicus attorney. Even though we were forced to pay her another $3000, she was genuinely involved and always kept me in the know about the happenings in our case, not to mention she seemed to actually care about the outcome.

Terisa was first hired to represent me in against the mother of my children in some bogus enforcement motions and convinced her lawyer to drop all of the motions. I heard her straight up tell the other lawyer in the court room "I'm going to win this Wade you really need to drop it" I love Terisa's co...nfidence and how well prepared she is before coming to court. After Terisa got the above mentioned motions dropped I hired her to help me get custody of my kids who are now 13 and 15. Everyone told me that a dad will never get custody in Harris County but Terisa proved them wrong and even told me she has won more cases for fathers lately than she has for mothers and she was right. I now have the best gift a dad could ever get my boys live with me for the first time ever and I even get credit against what I was behind in child support. Our order is temporary for 8 months and then we will revisit the moderator and make it permanent. With Terisa's help I saved a lot of money not having to go through a long drawn out jury trial which would have forced my boys to go in front of the judge to say that they wanted to live with me.

We had hired another lawyer 3 years ago to represent us in my husband's custody case and were told in confidence that she was doing us NO FAVORS by someone frequently in the court system and familiar with our case. He recommended Terisa and she took things over, listened to what we truly wanted, and... turned things around. We got what we wanted at that time, but since then, my husband's ex-wife has become physically abusive and severely mentally abusive to my stepson. We called Terisa back immediately and she was on the case FAST! We'll be back in court soon for modifications and the ex has no clue what's about to hit her! (no pun intended) I cannot imagine being on the other side with Terisa as the opposing attorney. And I can't wait until we get to court! SHe's caring and respectful and classy and SMART!

I'M A FATHER OF A 7 YR OLD LITTLE GIRL. LAST YEAR, SEPT. 2010, I WAS IN A CUSTODY BATTLE THAT HAD BEEN GOING ON FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. I HAD HIRED A LAWYER THAT WAS NOT SO EXPERIENCED OR PROFESSIONAL. THE DAY OF THE HEARING THINGS DIDN'T START GOOD AT ALL. MY LAWYER NEEDED HELP. SHE CALLED TERISA G. ...TAYLOR WHO THEN TOOK OVER THE CASE ON THE LAST MINUTE. SHE WENT IN NOT KNOWING MUCH ABOUT THE CASE AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. IN ABOUT AN HOUR SHE COMPLETELY TURNED THE CASE AROUND, TO MY FAVOR, AND HAD SETTLED THE ENTIRE TRIAL. I EVEN RECEIVED THINGS I DID NOT INTEND TO GET SUCH AS HALF OF MY EX'S 401K AND CHILD SUPPORT. I HAD ONLY WANTED TO PUT MY CHILD IN A BETTER HOME ENVIRONMENT WITH ME. TERISA IS SMART, AGGRESSIVE, AND WILL EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
