Found myself arrested for the first time in my life not having done anything illegal. Everyone's innocent right? Well in my case, I had an audio recording contradicting what malicious and mendacious neighbors, husband and wife, had told police in order to have me arrested. They made up a gun threat, ...whole cloth, and police came to my home and arrested me. The audio proved that the neighbor was the one who threatened me, in front of my home no less. Upon meeting Ms. Wilson, she filled me in on details of the case, what the plaintiff and police were saying, and how we would go about challenging the case. She's intelligent, a good communicator, and gives you her full attention, time, and consideration. When the arraignment came, Ms. Wilson put her full effort into getting the Assistant DA to give her a sort of sidebar, where she was able to present the evidence in the case. After 10-15 minutes, the ADA and Ms. Wilson conferred on the evidence and went before the judge to present him with their assessment of the facts. The judge took all of five minutes, listening to the ADA and Ms. Wilson, and granted a dismissal based on No Probable Cause for Arrest. In short, she worked her magic and avoided this sham of a charge from going forward. I have since pursued getting charges against these neighbors, and HPD is in the midst of investigating. Yes still. Covid is slowing things down, but people can lie at will, and get you arrested, making it a he said, they said case. Though I had audio, I needed Ms. Wilson to plead my case for me, and that she did. I greatly appreciate Ms. Wilson's fine work and cajoling on my behalf. She's an excellent attorney, and anyone would greatly benefit from having her on their side.
