When I first walked into Brad's office with my standard AG Orders and a letter from my ex stating that she was moving from Houston to Philadelphia, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. I expected to hear him tell me that I didn't have a case that the standard possession orders don't have a g...eographical restriction and she can go wherever she wants. After hearing my story and going over some of the rash decisions we believed my ex made and was making were not in the best interest of my daughter which could be grounds for material and substantial change, which in turn would mean we could have a case for custody. Mr. Medland was available at all times to go over any concerns I had or questions. He was extremely professional and assured me that fighting for custody was the best way to procced. Not because it would be more fees and court but because he truly believed I had a good chance at winning in court. He is extremely assertive and gave me a level of confidence I didn't have at the beginning of the case. After mediating and them not backing down on moving and us not settling for anything but custody we requested an amicus to determine in his opinion what was in my daughter's best interest or how we can settle and both be happy. Brad had a particular amicus he wanted which we requested from the court and was agreed on. The amicus came to both of our residences. Brad had frequent conversations with the amicus, and informed me that the amicus was happy our visit and not so much with my ex's. Brad also notified the amicus when my ex suddenly pulled my child out of her school where so was enrolled in kindergarten and moved over an hour and a half away without notifying me. When it came down to our day in court we weren't there long. Brad pulled us aside and informed us that the amicus wasn't very enthusiastic about the decisions my ex had been making and he was informing her that her best decision was to settle. Brad reassured me that we had a good change at winning full custody but that it was my decision in what I wanted and what was best for my daughter. He told me they would probably offer split custody 2-2-3 they call it. But that if I did chose to accept this that I could add on almost anything I wanted since I have the upperhand. If Brad would have told me almost a year ago when I walked into his office that I would end up getting split custody and restrict my daughter's residence to a geographical area I wouldn't have believed him. I got to pick the schools I wanted her to attend, no child support, split visitation, and geographical restriction. I still think what if I would have gone for full custody? But I know this was what was best for my child and I believe my ex came to the realization she can't do whatever she wants. If I every have to hire an attorney again there is not doubt in my mind who I would call. Watching how he dealt with the opposition was almost entertaining, and his conversations with the judge were very polished. I might regret not asking the judge for full custody every once in awhile, but I will never regret hiring Brad to handle my case.

I have always had bad experiences with attorneys until Brad Medland, he is fantastic! My ex husband was trying to pull one over on me and when Mr. Medland got a hold of him he changed his mind real quick because he owed over 20,000 in back child support. I have never dealt with someone so knowledgea...ble about the laws and what we can and can't do in a case, he guided me in the right direction and asked me what I wanted and we won the case! I would definitely refer everyone I know to him, he stays on top of everything and we stayed in contact throughout the time it took to handle everything... I live in another state but had to come back to Texas, because of my ex, for court and hiring Brad Medland was one of the best things I have ever done in life.... I would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone, if I could give him 10 stars I would, thank you Mr Medland for everything!
