Emily Shelton is a seventh generation Texan. After getting her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice at Texas State University, she graduated for the University of Houston Law Center.

Since that time, she has handled over a thousand cases.

Emily Shelton has worked at three District Attorney’s offices in Texas. She was an intern in Harris and Travis (Austin) Counties during law school. She then went on to be a felony prosecutor for the Midland County District Attorney’s office. This experience has given her a valuable insight into how the other side thinks and operates.

She opened her own practice in 2009.

She only practices criminal law. This means she is more knowledgeable about criminal law than other attorneys who practice in multiple areas.

She handles all level of offenses, and has experience with everything from marijuana to murder.

She specializes in violent and sexual offenses.

She is a born trial attorney. Jurors love her, and she has great presence in the courtroom.

Best lawyer ever!
I had a check fraud case and she was able to get me time served, without doing a day in jail! I was pregnant at the time and she helped move my court date around the birth of my child! Every time I had a question she quickly responded.

Best Lawyer In Houston
Emily can’t be touched! Emily has given My husband Walter his life back. When he caught his charge of murder in 2017 we was told by many attorneys he wouldn’t stand a chance in trail and to sign a plea. Walter knew like we all did he was innocent. We meet Emily in 2019 and she was the only attorney to really believe and fight for walter. Walter in 2022 got his freedom back all because of her.His case was dismissed half way during trail. If you are have doubts about hiring her don’t she will change you life for the better like she did not only walter but all of us. Emily no amount of money could ever give us back what you have we are so thankful god found us you. Many miracles are coming your way. She is the best and i do mean the best attorney in houston tx.

****HIRE THIS ONE!*****My Girl! Saved My Life!
Once I hired Emily my BP dropped to normal levels. She is such a go getter for you and you don’t even know or have to stress about the next reset date or that day of DISMISSAL!!!!!!! For this 40 something year old single mom home owner to be charged with felony assault, you can understand how my life would have changed. She is a badass lady and Attotney! Through A year during Covid and doing zoom court resets, Emily was present in court every time and I could see what a great rapport she has within the courts. She is the most real down to earth cool person that you can count on to represent you. You want HER to take care of you, hands down! #Freedom!

Believed in me when few else did
I was potentially facing a very long sentence, my Court appointed asked my age, after I told him he said you're looking at spending the rest of my life in prison, so I hired her, she was fast and was doing the initial interview with me within hours, after several months she had my case dismissed and let go, free of charges, I highly recommend her, she's aggressive and knows her way around the courtroom
