I hired Colin and his wife to fight for me for a crime in didn't commit. He kept asking for more and more money. I had already paid over $35,000 to him and his wife, Julie Ketterman (see her reviews also) before I realized he and his wife weren't doing what needed to be done and I had no more choices... but to pray they would give me a good defense at trial. He claimed to be a great attotney to fight the evidence in my case. He said the evidence was tampered with and altered and it would be thrown out at trial. He had me pay thousands for an expert witness for trial. They never brought the expert witness to the stand that I paid for. They didn't get the accident reconstruction that would have cleared me that I paid for. They didn't fight the altered and tampered evidence according to the law like they said they would. All they wanted was more money every time I talked to them. Five thousand here, ten thousand there, until all of my retirement was depleted. When I was found guilty by a jury, he and his wife told me we won when I got sentenced to 4 years in prison by a jury. They both said that we were going to file an appeal because the evidence shouldnt have been admitted at trial because there was too much tampering and alteration that was proven at trial. Then they wanted fifty thousand to appeal that I no longer had after spending more than twice that on trial. When I needed my file from them to appeal from prison, he and his wife waited 2 years to send it to me so that my appeal was time barred from review. They sent me the critical information on a computer disk knowing I had no access to a computer while incarcerated. He and her husband are sorry excuses for criminal defense lawyers. They cheated me out of a lot more than just money and caused me to lose a wife, custody for my daughter due to becoming incarcerated, everything I owned and bought over my 15 years as an engineer and project manager and all they cared about was more of my money. They never returned my calls unless it was for more money. They failed to tell me about some of the court dates until the morning I was to be there. They wouldn't show up on time and would leave me there to face the judge explaining that I couldn't get in touch with them. He would try to use scare tactics on me by threatening to quit my case if I was unhappy with his representation only after he would get a large sum of money. They actually wanted me to plea bargain to 10 years in TDCJ for something I was not guilty of, saying I would be "out on parole in a couple of years." Do not hire him or his wife, Julie Ketterman to defend you! They will only take your money and only call you when they need more and give you an unsatisfactory defense. Run from these two!

Mr. Amann is there for the MONEY, not the client. He does not return phone calls, is very hard to get a straight answer from him. He forgets that money to him means someone has trusted him with their life, their future. He drags out the case as to get more money from you, also uses a scare tactic ...to get you to do whatever you can to come up with the large amount of money he demands for his service. We did pay him and was left in the dark, he didnt return any phone calls over a period of a month. Would not recommend him at all.
