Sarah is originally from Longmont, Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs before attending Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth, graduating with her Juris Doctorate in May 2013.
While in law school, Sarah was inducted in to the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society and served for two years as the president of the Family Law Student Association. During her term as president, Sarah oversaw organization of the school's Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Luncheon and the First Annual Texas Wesleyan School of Law Angel Tree, benefitting the children of Safe Haven of Tarrant County. Sarah also volunteered with Presenting Legal Activities to Youth (P.L.A.Y.), a student organization focused on providing underprivileged youth with law-based activities. As a volunteer with P.L.A.Y., Sarah participated in two career day events at a Fort Worth elementary school and the annual Elementary Mock Trial Competition. In addition to practicing law, Sarah serves on the board of the Fort Worth chapter of the Texas Young Professionals and volunteers as a camp counselor with Our Father’s Children, a non-profit providing camping retreats for children in foster care.
