We had already been ripped-off by two other lawyers while trying to gain custody of our grandson. They took our money and then said that grandparents had no rights because we had no standing. We turned to a local group called Fathers for Equal Rights, because we had read the law and knew we had st...anding, but we couldn't find anyone to believe us and file on our behalf. Because he listened and filed, we finally got court time to prove how dangerous the mother was and my son was awarded sole custody. She could only have visitation once a month for two hours and it had to be supervised by an officer of the court. She could no longer be alone with the baby boy. He was 2 years old at the time. It may not be an exaggeration to say that John Stoutimore saved this little boy's life. Honest to a fault, compassionate, keenly aware of family code laws, and more.
