I am proud to represent my North Texas clients in Texas state, federal, and appellate courts. Our office has two convenient locations in Fort Worth and Burleson, allowing people who need assistance in Tarrant, Johnson, and nearby counties easy access to legal representation.
I represent plaintiffs and defendants in complex, commercial, and consumer cases. I have represented clients in matters related to probate and trust litigation, family disputes, breach of contract matters, real estate matters, and employment matters. My employment practice extends beyond litigation, and I also draft and review employee handbooks, employment agreements, and non-ompetition and represent clients in front of various administrative agencies.
I also help clients with their estate planning needs by drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and directives to physicians. For clients who are faced with the death of a loved one, I can help navigate the process for distributing assets and paying debts by filing for probate or the proper alternative. I am certified to file guardianships and serve as a court appointed ad litem in guardianship and probate matters.
I have represented clients in more than half of the Texas courts of appeals and the Supreme Court of Texas. My appellate practice concerns a broad range of substantive issues, including family law, will contests, contract issues, and real estate. I have also successfully handled appeals related to procedural issues, from preservation of error to upholding a default judgment and severance of claims.
Before attending law school, I had the unique experience of working as a human resources generalist who specialized in employee relations for a large hospital and healthcare system in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. It was during this phase ofmy career that I became especially interested in legal matters and attended law school.
I am active in my community. I serve on my neighborhood's major fundraising committee, and did so during its most successful fundraising campaigns. I enjoy the arts, and for many years I served on the board of directors of Fort Worth's pre-professional ballet company, holding numerous offices.
