Tyler Roderick Monahan

I hope folks read this before anyone makes the grave mistake of hiring this firm before shopping around, like my in-laws did. I’m not an attorney in Texas, but I am an attorney in another state, and I can say that what has been described to me about this firm is egregious. First, they seem to have a... paralegal who doesn’t understand that she’s not a lawyer (despite the fact that she’s apparently never been to law school and is not a member of the Bar) and she may be engaging in the unauthorized practice of law. Next, this firm doesn’t appear to do the bare minimum right out of the gate in civil dependency cases or family law cases, such as ensuring visitation with children. Last, but most certainly not least, it appears they take cases they’re not even remotely competent to handle, such as felony criminal defense cases. If true, this would be a violation of the ethical obligation lawyers have to provide competent representation. This firm, by all appearances, cares only about collecting your money and not about actually advocating for their clients. If you need an excellent criminal defense lawyer, talk to Cofer & Luster. Even if these Tumo Law people do have some experience, it doesn’t look like they’re any good. If you need a family law attorney, you may want to shop around if you care to have high-quality representation.

I could tell you about their crazy extensive knowledge of the law and how over-qualified they are but that's what you expect to get when you hire an attorney, right?! Let me tell you about the trials, the tribulations, the triumphs... and how they walked with me every step of the way. Let me te...ll you about how sometimes they had to hold my hand and sometimes they had to be my shoulder to cry on but in every situation, they were always one phone call or email or "I'm just popping in" away. Let me tell you about the countless hours I laid awake at night wondering if I was doing enough, being enough, working enough and providing enough for my kids (mom guilt is real) only to be told in the midst of a random conversation that I'm such a great mom by a team of people that deal with not-so-good parents day in and day out. Talk about reassurance. Let me tell you that their entire staff is amazing and genuine. They are on your side and will give you honest and realistic expectations even if it's not what you want to hear (you have to appreciate people like that). They will fight for you, for your kids and to right every judicial wrong. If you're considering having Turner-Monahan represent you, please know you're in good hands. If you have already hired them, you could not have made a better choice.

Tyler and his team was my second stop after a well advertised "Fathers Rights" attorney lost my paperwork...sick to my stomach, I knew I needed someone who cared and could represent a caring father against a manipulative mother. Tyler killed it and everything went flawlessly. I got everything I aske...d for and my kids best interest was always a priority despite their mothers desperate attempts to control the situation. I can’t begin to thank Tyler and his team enough for all they have done for my family! Not only does Tyler “get it done!!!” he is highly knowledgeable in his field. His confident and knowledge, puts all my worries at ease to know we have him on our side! It was 8 pm Tuesday evening I was notified... that our existing lawyer at the time was involved in a car accident and would not be able to represent us for court the coming Thursday! Talk about anxiety attack!
