Don't use outside of Tarrant Cnty
Hired twice for custody issue. The first time was to maintain custody of my youngest child after her father initiated modification. Apparently the norm is for the judge to order parent facilitation AND psych evaluation. Lester accepted my case & his advice was to go for the evaluation. I refused ...
To be fair, I agreed to meet with client the day I was readying to leave on vacation and my child was out of school. Prior to meeting with client, client was aware my child was there as I disclosed that information. No issues were brought up at the initial meeting. When accepting a case that was already in place and orders for certain requirements were already in place, as an attorney, it is difficult to change or modify those court orders. Most attorneys charge for all their time, including travel. Travel to courthouses is a standard provision in my retainer contract. I am, however, sorry you were unhappy with your experience with my office. I strive to give the best advice I can while upholding the highest integrity. I do not create the facts my clients bring me, nor do I have say at court hearings I do not attend because I was not the attorney at that hearing. I can only do the best I can with the facts and situations a client brings me. On another note, I am family lawyer. But, first, I am family man. My children are often in my office. I love having my children around and my children are why I do this job. If anyone expects their family lawyer to set their own kids aside, they should hire someone else. Obviously, I will maitain professionalism and use discretion when deciding if my children being at my office is appropriate. And, I will always demonstrate to my clients that my family comes first. I want my clients to see that I take family seriously, including theirs. I am deeply sorry you were dissatisfied with your experience with my office. - Lester K. Reed

Incomplete service
I was a client of attorney Lester Reed back on October2015. I hired him to handle my modification case. He filed a incomplete court papework in my behalf and the district judge dissmissed my case cause of that. He make remarks of dissappear one month later when I hired his services. At this time my m...
Another anonymous source. I have never in my career filed incomplete paperwork. If a judge dismisses a case there are many reasons. Either, the case brought before the court lack merit and there was not enough evidence to prove the case, or simply, there were no grounds. When hired by a litigant to prosecute their case, I intake the client and take extra special care to gather as much information as possible prior to taking that case. Sometimes, however, after being hired, I often learn that the client may have 'embellished' the potential evidence and the facts presented to me at intake. Attorneys rely heavily on the honesty and candor of the client. Secondly pertaining to 'incomplete court paperwork', again, without knowing what client this is, I will say I have no recollection of any time in my career where I did not file necessary documents to represent my clients. I have, however, encountered clients who wanted something filed that violated my rules of ethics and professionalism which could lead to sanctions and fines on my part as well as on the part of my client. When a client asks me to file something I am not comfortable with, they may feel as though I am not protecting their interests, but quite the opposite. I am keeping them out of hot water. With every client a contract is signed that NO result is promised or warrantied. I represent my clients to be absolute best of my ability. But, I will not dishonor myself or this system by doing anything underhanded or unethical and risk losing a job that I have worked terribly hard to gain. To the anonymous poster of this review, if you would like to call my office at 817-810-9925 and discuss your dissatisfaction, I am happy to do so. - Lester K. Reed

DO NOT USE
Such a disappointment. He was paid and we had to hire another attorney to complete our case.
Anonymous post. Again, to whomever posted this, if you would like to call my office and relay to me your dissatisfaction, I would be interested in understanding the facts surrounding the need to hire someone else. Oftentimes, both attorneys and clients will choose to part ways for many reasons. I have 'fired' clients and clients have 'fired' me. I know of no attorney, ever, who has not been replaced at one time or other. The reasons are plentiful. Sometimes, personalities are not compatible, the attorney is not willing to do certain things that may be unprofessional or unethical, or simply, the client will have higher expectations than an attorney can possibly meet. Or, honestly, the attorney just did a bad job. Without knowing who would post a review making these comments it is difficult to remedy the issue. I always strive to provide excellent legal representation to all my clients while maintaining the highest level of integrity. - Lester K. Reed

Don't believe the hype
I hired him to handle a modification, which he assigned to his associate attorney. The associate blew through my retainer very quickly and then started asking for more money. When I asked the associate to send me a detailed statement, he would say he was sending it but never did. When I brought th...
Anytime an 'anonymous' source writes a review I am very skeptical. In my career I have never had a filing dispute with the State Bar. I have a reputation of NOT billing for each and every 'nickel and dime' task that are needed to complete a case. I had associate attorneys in an effort to ensure that each client is worthy of one-on-one attention and my having enough attorneys to meet the needs of my clients is important to me. What's more, 'blowing through the retainer' is really easy to do when I charge relatively little to begin with. I pride myself of NOT making legal services cost prohibitive for the client. Many things will blow through a retainer: excessive phone calls, excessive and often unnecessary meetings, and a client requesting that we 'bulldog' the opposing party. Because I do not know who made this review, I cannot say which applies to you. However, I am sorry you feel as though my office let you down. If you would like to call my office at any time at 817-810-9925, I am happy to review your invoice and payment to see if there are any discrepancies. Thank you for your candor and for the opportunity to serve you. - Lester K. Reed, Attorney and Law.

Excellent Attorney
Mr. Reed represented me in a high conflict divorce. As a mother of two young kids I was completely overwhelmed, but he walked me through every step. He was always available in moments of panic or when I had questions. Mr. Reed went above and beyond to keep costs down. He was able to get me a f...
"Mr. Reed is THE BEST family lawyer I have ever had the opportunity to work a case with. I will not ever forget how our clients were full of antomosity at the temp orders hearing and we had to work hard but to see them in the hall of the courthouse cohesively working together as young new parents of such a beautiful baby was exactly what was in the best interest of the child. And when my client changed his mind at the very last minute, he was the most patient person I have ever worked a case with. I felt so bad that my client changed his mind at the last minute, but Mr. Reed has the patience of "Jobe" He took it in stride in a situation that I would have admittedly been frustrated with. If you ever get a chance to work with him...DO SO....you will learn a whole new sense of how to practice family law. I strongly recommend Mr. Reed. He's an absolute asset to Family Law in Tarrant and surrounding counties."
"I endorse this lawyer. Lester has been opposing counsel on several of my family law cases. He is always courteous and professional. He quickly responds to phone calls and emails, while giving his clients excellent representation."
"I strongly endorse Lester. He is a fine, compassionate attorney. He fights a good fight, yet remains highly ethical."
"I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Reed while we were both working for Progressive Casualty Insurance Company. He is highly skilled and pleasant to deal with. He was always well prepared, diligent and extremely effective in his work. I highly recommend Lester to anyone who needs an excellent Family law lawyer. I endorse this lawyer"
"Lester is extremely professional and a zealous advocate for his clients, but still a pleasure to work with."
"Lester is a committed and brilliant family lawyer. He takes pride in knowing his trade and staying up to date on changes in Texas Family Law. As law students, we were admonished to keep some [emotional] distance from our clients so as not to let our clients' matters affect us too deeply. Despite this, Lester cannot quell has inherent passion for his cases and his clients' well-being. He really cares about his cases and he has the experience and knowledge to get the results his clients deserve. And he's just a darn good guy."
"Mr. Reed is one of the best lawyers in his field. He really cares about his clients and makes himself very accessible to them. Mr. Reed works hard on each case to obtain the best results for his clients. I endorse him and his work wholeheartedly."
"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Reed is a professional of the highest caliber. He works to maximize benefits for his clients, but he also takes the time to get to know his clients. He is constantly going to CLE's and is a member of the State Bar College."
"I have known Mr. Reed both personally and professionally for several years. I have referred several cases to him in the past and will continue to do so. I do not refer cases to an attorney unless I trust that they are knowlegible and very competent in that area. Mr. Reed is ethical and works extremely hard for his clients. He also makes every effort to keep the costs of his cases as reasonable as possible. I have also had cases with and against Mr. Reed and I would not hesitate to endorse him."
