Jerold Haley Mitchell

The Sisemore law firm went above and beyond for my custody case. Particularly Mr. Mitchell was amazing. For a such a difficult time in my life fighting to be apart of my daughters life as a single father, Mr Mitchell made me feel like I had more than a chance to win my case. I came to Jerold while I was still pregnant to get information on what my options were and what I would need to do upon having my children. He then explained everything to me and sent me everything so I could get things started immediately. When I asked questions about things he was unsure about, he ...would get back to me quickly with the correct response. He stayed on top of the opposing party during the entire time. He filed multiple petitions to keep my case rolling when the opposing party tried to stall our case (which was about 9 months of fighting to get the final papers signed). When I thought out of anger on how to handle situations, he would talk things back into perspective and he would ask me to think it over for a day so I thought realistically or logically when making a decision that would effect my children and I's future. After my final papers were signed, we found that my with-holding order had an error. It was a month after the papers were signed so Jerold went to court to have it fixed for me. Upon arriving at court and speaking with the Judge, he realized that my case was lost he went to the records and helped find it. He then had the judge sign the edited with-holding and hand delivered it the child support office to make sure it was correct and was put into effect. Recently, he has checked to make sure that the with-holding is moving and into place. At no point did he have to go to that extent to make sure that this was put in place. I appreciated him staying on top of my case while also working on multiple other cases and being in and out of court. I also appreciate him keeping me posted on everything and respecting my position and opinion on how I wanted my child support/custody suit handled. He constantly stayed in contact with me, sometimes it took days but he would let me know what was going on when I heard from him and what had kept him from being in contact with me. For a lawyer fresh out of law school, he did a great job handling a very difficult case. I have seen Jerold work a case for a petitioner and a petitionee and he handled both case the same way. He is respectful, realistic, promptly, and helpful through anyones entire court case. I have recommended him to at least 4 people whether male or female because I know that he will do a great job no matter what the client.
