Avoid at all costs. I hired Markus K. Turner to represent me in a time of real need. I’m disabled and trusted him with a sensitive legal matter. He made promises during the consultation and in writing—but when it came time to actually file my case, he stalled repeatedly, changed the plan, and ulti...mately refused to file unless I agreed to a more complicated, costly process that would benefit his billing and would require me to say something that wasn’t true. I gave him file-ready documents - reminding him I’m not licensed in Texas or know his area of the law so he’d need to review but it would save time. Instead of moving forward, he wasted weeks, pressured me, and then publicly lied about what happened after I posted a review. He claimed I asked for unethical actions—which is completely false. I’ve also asked multiple times for my file and representation agreement. It’s been months. Still nothing. He refunded part of what I paid, but he still owes me over $4,000. If you want your legal matter dragged out, mishandled, and misrepresented—he’s your guy. If you want integrity, professionalism, or basic follow-through, go elsewhere.
