Greg Coontz grew up in Burleson, Texas. He attended Burleson High School and then obtained his BBA in accounting from Texas Wesleyan University. Greg Coontz then attended Baylor University and received his law degree. He initially worked in Ft. Worth at the firm of Godfrey & Decker. He and 4 others left that firm to open the litigation firm of Bourland Kirkman. In July of 1990 he decided to open his own law practice in Burleson, TX with his high school classmate John Neill. John Neill was appointed in 1998 by Governor Bush to preside over the 18th District Court in Johnson County Texas where he still sits. Greg then partnered with Jeff Cochran to form the current firm of Coontz Cochran.
Attorney Coontz is Board Certified in civil trial law and personal injury trial law. Over his years of practice he has handled numerous multi-million dollar personal injury cases in Texas and other states. He continues to litigate serious injury and wrongful death cases.
