Not good

I was referred to this lawyer by Hyatt legal and I had been using this lawyer for a few traffic tickets cases and a criminal case that took place in Dallas. The lawyer started out pretty good but as the cases prolonged I wasn't receiving updates on court dates until the day of court or one day before.... I work and go to school so I need more than just one day in advance for notice of court. It got so bad that I had to start reminding him and even going by myself to remove the tickets in court. Those instances didn't bother me as much since it was just traffic tickets but the criminal case which was my main reason for hiring Mr. Beaver was the finial straw. I didn't wish to accept any deals since I did nothing wrong and because we had already won/dismissed the two main charges we only had one more to handle. I advised Mr. Beaver I didn't wish to accept the deal and he never responded back to me. Weeks went by with no response and then I received a notification that I had court the following morning. I reached out to Mr. Beaver to confirm and at 8pm he finally responded back stating that he was going to withdraw as my lawyer the day before court. I have to now find a new lawyer to finish what he couldn't. Id recommend looking for an actual lawyer who knows what they're doing and completes what they started.

Mr. Crane, I am sorry that you feel this way. I thank you for remembering that I helped you get two cases dismissed. I do think it’s important to remind you that I never showed up late for court and I never failed to appear for a hearing that we both knew had been scheduled for months in advance. Also, as you will recall when I explained it to you, due to the pandemic, neither of us was required to appear, either in person or by video, for the most recent court setting. When I spoke with you and confirmed what you wanted to do with your current case, I realized that what you wanted conflicted with my professional recommendation for your case. Based upon my training and experience, I took the step that I believed was ethically and professionally required. You received over thirty days before your next scheduled court appointment to find an attorney who could assist you. I would be happy to discuss my reasoning with you or to clarify any misunderstandings. My number remains 817-402-0231. Respectfully yours, Larry Beaver

Great experience!

I have a commercial driver license and received a ticket from Arlington Police Department. I solicited Mr. Beaver to represent me regarding this matter. Mr. Beaver returned all calls and correspondence quickly & efficiently. The ticket should have been $400+, but the courts reduced down to $100 and t...his shouldn’t effect my driving record. I do not believe I would have fared so well without Mr. Beaver’s representation. He was professional, and I couldn’t be any more confident and at ease with Mr. Beaver’s abilities regarding my situation. I highly recommend him and will call on him again if the need ever arises.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
