Client Review

Would not recommend David Williams for Physical Assault charges. I obtained him in March, through his paralegal for a contract amount of $50. He has had three paralegals since then, has done nothing on my case and now is demanding $500 to do anything. The original contract was for $50. I have to ...go to trial next week and have terminated him as my lawyer. I was not allowed to meet with him abd he knew nothing about my case. Neta Springer, Arlington

Replied last October 21, 2008

Mr. Williams had in depth conversations with this client, in person and over the phone regarding her municipal citation, she also communicated with multiple members of legal staff for in excess of two hours, if citation can't be dismissed on procedural ground and plea offer is not acceptable, then only option left is to have a trial. Trial typically will expend 4 -8 hours of attorney time which must be compensated. $50.00 representation from start to a trial doesn't exist.

Good Job

Mr. Williams handled my personal injury auto accident. He sent me to rehabilitation that helped me with the injuries sustained in the accident. I was routinely informed on the status of my case.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
