Do not use Jeremy Willis

Please read this and other reviews before you choose to hire Jeremy. He does not return emails or phone calls. You will be passed to an assistant which will not return your emails or phone calls either. Absolutely the worst money I have ever spent. We would not receive return calls or email responses..., so I tried calling daily. Finally we received a letter from the court letting us know that Jeremy was dropping us as clients and the case. Of course this was after he had collected his money. I agree and experienced the same unprofessional circumstances that others have reported on this site. During mediation Jeremy chose to work on email and other cases in lieu of working on our case. He did not focus at all on the mediation, only input he had was settle, settle, settle. If you do make the mistake and hire Jeremy I recommend that you do not pay for any services prior to the case being settled or he will drop you and move on leaving you to hire another attorney to finish your case. Jeremy is the worst attorney I have ever worked with.

Mr.Willis just recently helped me with a long drawn out modification of orders. Mr.Willis knew I needed help as a single working mother and stood by my side even when he was being paid nothing. I have never had lawyers show such character that he has shown me. He guided me and helped me and never ask...ed for a dime. A blessing he has been to my daughter and I. 6 years and he has been my third lawyer and has done more for me than any other lawyer I have had. Jermery has a heart and he not only shows general concern he allows God to work through him. He is a blessing. For a lawyer who will bat for you in any situation is one thing but for one to have done what he has done for me for nothing basically.

Very Pleased

Jeremy has been representing me for over a year in an extremely nasty divorce/custody battle, and he continues to do so. He has been professional and supportive, and I could not be more pleased with him. The last 15 months have been a nightmare, and I cannot imagine having anyone other than Jeremy re...presenting me during such an emotional time. We have spent countless hours together preparing and reviewing my case, and he has appeared in court with me numerous times for various hearings (never ending it seems, although we always seem to come out on top). During depositions he tirelessly prepared and was quite impressive. He ALWAYS responds to any phone calls or e-mails I may send him within the day, and he has worked many times late into the night on my behalf. Jeremy is compassionate, honest, hard working, and trustworthy. As my divorce concludes (FINALLY) I feel confident having Jeremy on my side.

Never Retain This Guy

Jeremy Willis lacks ethics and professionalism. I hired him for my divorce because he was a "local guy" and I knew someone else who had used him. Unfortunately I did not talk to this person extensively to find out their experience before I embarked on my divorce. Later I found out that they were u...neasy with his "style" too. My spouse and I went into this without animosity but with disagreements. Jeremy likes to use children as leverage even against my requests. I found out after the fact and needless to say this created heightened emotions with my spouse that I didn't understand. These are CHILDREN he uses!! He has no shame. He is also very unresponsive to phone calls and cancels appointments with little or no notice. I called him 5 times over 2 days and didn't hear from him until the third day. Those were critical calls and I couldn't believe that he didn't respond in a timely manner. Appointments? Cancelled several and had one where he didn't even call. I found out after I arrived. Take my advice and find someone else.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
