Elder Care
During a time of great stress, Kristen Ishihara was recommended to me as someone who could help navigate the difficulties associated with elder care issues for a family member. From our first meeting, it was obviously apparent that she knew her craft very well and could communicate in ways that helped me understand all the aspects associated with my situation. Our relationship grew very rapidly and she became a sincerely trusted counselor. She and her staff helped ease my stress and guided me toward safe and secure decisions that helped lift the burdens of my circumstances. My family member's quality of life was better all because of her. It gives me great pleasure to highly recommend Kristen to anyone dealing with elder care needs. She is highly knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough, and knows and cares for her clients.

The BEST
As responsible senior adults, my husband and I, have been so grateful and delighted to have Kristen on our side. We want to make sure to leave everything as smooth as possible for our children in the future. Kristen not only has guided us in our retirement plan but has created a trust, estate planning, and all documents related to our end of days but created all these documents to meet our family needs. Our adults' sons and daughter were so delighted with Kristen as we had a zoom call to educate our children on all the documents and processes, they will need to take after our death. All of them stated: "Kristen was not only informative but she was like a member of our family. We felt so at home with her that we were acting up like kids" This is a professional that I highly recommend to anyone. She is an expert in her field, and she makes all the complex details as smooth as some bites of apple pie. I invited you to give her a try!

Review for Mrs. Ishihara
Our family hired Mrs. Ishihara to help with Power of Attorney, Living Will, and Advanced Directive documentation. She and her staff were very helpful throughout the process and continued to answer questions after the death of a family member. I would highly recommend Mrs. Ishihara to anyone who needs assistance with estate planning needs!

Attentive, Kind and Patient
Kristen is fantastic. The most helpful and compassionate Lawyer we could have asked for. I am 1 of 4 children raised by our father who was in a terrible car accident in November 2016 leaving him mentally incapacitated. With all of the stress and pain of figuring out what next steps to take to help manage our fathers care and assets, she made it easy. Kristen was extremely kind and patient - thoroughly walking us through all of the next steps and options to take. My emails and calls were always returned quickly, even for the smallest of needs. She made this life changing event as smooth as possible and we couldn't have done it without her. Forever thankful for this kind hearted and extremely intelligent woman.

Kristen has been a great help to me in obtaining guardianship for my mother, and application for Medicaid for her. It was a great relief to know it was done properly and eased my stress immensely. If you need an attorney for elder care, she is who I recommend!

Exceptional service and knowledge from not only Kristen, but the whole team.
I was lost, but found the solution. There were many questions and uncertainties when faced with having to figure out what to do about elderly parents affairs. It was recommended, from our wonderful hospice nurse Holly at Heritage Hospice, that Kristen could clarify a lot of the questions we had. During the free consultation it was clear that Kristen and her team would be needed to help us out. Always professional and a pleasure to talk to even through tough times. From the front desk to Kamekia up to Kristen all were there to help in anyway possible. I would highly recommend this team for any of their services. Thank you so very much to Kristen and her crew.

Guardianship Proceedings
Kristen Ishihara represents me in a guardianship. During our initial consultation I was very impressed by Kristen’s knowledge and her experience with elder law. Kristen explained the process, what was needed, and how she could help. All of this made hiring her an easy decision. Kristen has been great to work with. She communicates clearly and is very responsive. Guardianship is very complicated but Kristen has always provided me the guidance I needed. I have always felt that I am very well represented and I have complete confidence in Kristen and her staff.

Highly knowledgeable and gets the job done!
Kristen Ishihara will forever stand out as someone that took the bull by the horns and made a difficult time much easier for me. I was literally able to give her the materials she asked for, and she took them and made what needed to happen for my mother happen. At any time during the process I felt overwhelmed and doubtful, all I had to do was send her a text or email, and she would answer almost immediately. Her answers ALWAYS calmed my fears. Kristen is very confident in her actions and that was exactly what I needed during our dealings together. I have never felt so taken care of as there was never any waiting time. She moves quickly and efficiently. I so highly recommend Kristen Ishihara to anyone facing elder care needs. She is highly knowledgeable and proactive. I trust her 100%.

Power of Attorney
Kristen was very helpful in guiding me in the right direction with setting me up in a guardian role to my youngest brother. She recommended setting me up as a POA over the stringent controls required with a full guardianship.

Application for Medicaid
Needed help having my wife put on Medicaid for assisted living. Kristen immediately made me feel at ease and was very understanding and compassionate about my situation. I felt relieved in knowing she would take over my case and completely follow through from start to finish. She impressed me with her knowledge and complete understanding of procedure to achieve what was needed to put me at complete ease in a very professional way.

Extremely Good Attorney
Kristen Ishihara knows her law. She helped my husband and me with our estate documents swiftly and accurately. She is extremely easy to talk to, is very personable, is quick to respond to calls and questions and speaks to you with respect and in a way you can easily understand your issues. Our estate documents were neatly organized in a personalized 3-ring binder notebook and we were also given the documents on a flash drive. I highly recommend Mrs. Ishihara.

You can't go wrong with Kristen
I hired Kristen for elder care planning regarding my Mother's Estate, consulted with her about Trusts, and she completed Wills for both my husband and me. During each time of need, she listened, was specific about what she needed from me to do what I asked for, and worked quickly to successfully complete each request. She walked me through each step of elder care planning and our Wills, answering all questions and was easily accessible for office visits, phone calls and emails. Recently, Kristen completed everything needed for a Trust, which I requested, but then decided I did not want to do it at that time. She was more than willing to change directions and complete a Will instead, not requiring additional money despite doing all the work to set up the requested Trust. Mrs. Ishihara is not the only attorney I have used over the last 30 year, but she is the only one I will hire again should the need arise. She listened, cared, is educated regarding needs various needs of older people, has reasonable fees and always wanted to be sure I understood different avenues to complete my ultimate objectives. She is an exceptional attorney and person: she works diligently to please and she cares about her clients individual needs.

Highly Recommend
Kristen Ishihara with Ross & Shoalmire, L.L.P. was a true pleasure and blessing to have work on my brother’s estate. Kristen is knowledgeable, professional and responsive and great at keeping you informed at every step. Kristen had to work through some difficult and challenging estate issues. She was able to resolve title difficulties for both buyer and seller on real property asset sales, as well as settling outstanding debts. She did a great job in assisting to locate, secure and handle the transactions for selling estate assets. Kristen responded to all my inquiries quickly and provided clear and easy to understand responses. At first having to deal with probate seemed like it would present a lot of difficulties, however, after having worked with Kristen Ishihara, I can say I do not know how we could have gotten through it all without her expertise and skill. Our family is truly very grateful to Kristen for settling and resolving the estate. Cathy H
