Business Profile: I am a Christian family man dedicated to helping you secure a legacy for those you love and leave behind.
By day, I am a financial planner affiliated with Ameriprise Financial. On my own time, I practice estate law, primarily focusing on simple wills and simple probates. Part of any good financial plan is to insure that your estate planning documents speak to all of the component parts of your financial plan.
Leaving a legacy for your loved ones is one of the highest and most noble pursuits you can strive for. We all have an inate desire for immortality and we can achieve a small measure of that when we leave to future generations the good fruits of our labors whether they are financial or influential.
Attorney Profile:
I was born and raised in Longview, Texas. I graduated from Longview High School, went to college at Abilene Christian University and attended law school at Baylor University School of Law.
After law school, I got a job at the Smith County District Attorney's Office in Tyler, TX where I tried about twenty-five cases to juries. in May 2007, I was offered a job back home in Longview with the Gregg County DA's Office where I tried another ten or twelve cases to juries.
In September 2008, I struck out on my own and opened up the Law Office of Matthew K. Simcox where I served countless people in a myriad of situations until I closed my practice to become a financial advisor in 2017.
Now, I find great joy in assisting my friends and neighbors find financial security and freedom.
