An attorney who cares and will successfully challenge your case.

After being wrongfully terminated for the first time in my multi-year career, I was despondent and had no experience regarding where to turn or if I even had any recourse at all. It was to my great fortune that I came across Jennifer Spencer and her firm Spencer Scott, PLLC. Unlike another local fi...rm who never responded to my initial inquiry, Jennifer’s staff reached out to me within 1 business day. After having me describe my employment experience in detail, she accepted my case within 3 days. During the process of contesting my termination citing violations of applicable state and federal laws, each member of her staff was consistently responsive to my questions and concerns and was always quick to update me on the status of our case. Jennifer, as Managing Partner of the firm, personally returned all of my calls and email promptly and provided me her direct numbers. She and her attorneys stayed in contact with me during final negotiations both day and night, and they really went the extra mile to ensure my settlement provided me the restitution and monetary settlement I deserved in light of the harm that my employer had caused me. I consider Jennifer Spencer to be the top employment attorney in North Texas with specialty in representing harmed employees. She certainly earns my absolute strongest recommendation.

Wrongful Termination

I’ve never personally met Jeniffer but spoke to and hired Neal Bridges. After hearing my case of wrongful termination I thought I found someone that would truly be on my side and fight for me. Instead I later experienced that the attorney I hired was more for the client I was fighting against. I neve...r felt he had my best interest at heart. He always seem to make the opponent more comfortable than me. I feel that they were colleagues and friends therefore leaving him no interest in working for me. I was really surprised when I was asked to give a review as its very clear I wasn’t satisfied with the outcome of my case. I honestly would not recommend this firm to anyone and wish I would have taken the time out to find someone whom would have had my best interest at heart., and worked harder at fighting for me.

Wrongful Termination

A couple of years ago I found myself facing a wrongful termination situation. Not only was I devastated to be losing a job without reason or cause, I was completely blindsided. I had a great track record with the company I was with and was shocked by their reaction to my request for FMLA leave. Rathe...r than being handled professionally I was retaliated against. Upon the recommendation of a friend, it was recommended I contact Spencer Scott for a consultation. From the moment I contacted them my mind was put at ease. They counseled me over the phone about what immediate steps needed to be taken and took my case on contingency. James Hunnicutt and Jenifer Spencer treated me with professionalism, empathy and helped me feel empowered standing up to a company that was no stranger to using fear and intimidation to stifle employee concerns. Throughout the process James and Jennifer explained the legal process and gave me choices in how I’d like to proceed. Not only did we end up settling, I finally felt vindicated, heard, and assured that this was just a blip on the map of my life and I was so much better off. I can’t recommend their firm strongly enough. If you feel you may have been victimized by your employer in any way, make sure to give them a call and learn your rights! I’ll be forever grateful that I did.

Above and beyond expectations

Jennifer and her associate James Hunnicutt went above and beyond expectations for me. They developed multiple strategies and pursued avenues I hadn't considered. They know the law and were amazing at the hearing, outshining the opposition. They had the opposition scrambling to gain a foothold the ent...ire hearing. I'm a single mother and had been wrongfully terminated and denied unemployment benefits based on an unsubstantiated allegation that was untrue. I was online all night one night looking for an attorney to help me and had sent out email requests to multiple attorneys. The first call I received was from Jennifer herself, bright and early the very next morning. She asked numerous questions to clarify facts about my case, then told me she thought I had a case and she would be happy to assist me. I received calls from two other attorneys later that day but they didn't seem interested. One referred me to someone else who never called back. I hired Jennifer. Jennifer and her team really cared about me, not just about winning the case. I would reccomend Jennifer Jackson Spencer and her team to anyone who needs an employment attorney.
