Jay C. English

I had left a good review of Jay earlier because I believed in him. At the time I wrote my original review I was confident we would eventually win our case. Things turned for the worst! My husband was in a car accident in 2015. He was in the backseat but sustained a head injury due to the driver of a...nother car. My husband was awarded two lump sums. One from the drivers insurance of the car he was in and the other was from his own personal insurance. These moneys were paid to our original attorney. The amount was 50k. We switched to Jay after we felt like the original attorney was incompetent for such a case. The funds were transferred to Jay when he took our case back in 2018. Years later in 2023 he lost the last appeal and decided to keep the settlements from 2015. My husband did not receive a penny. He lives now with brain damage he suffered while this attorney kept the little amount that would actually help him to retire as my husband is now 62. I’m sure what Jay has done is illegal but to hire another attorney but we cannot afford it. We are done with lawyers at this point but I wanted to warn others of Jay.

Jay English took over my wife and daughter's case from one of his associates when they were elected to public office last November. During that time I have had the opportunity to see Jay personally in a courtroom appearance over motions filed for this case. What I witnessed during argument of those m...otions was a well polished, knowledgeable, articulate professional in Jay English. We are now 4 months far from this case going to court but from the presence he commanded during those arguments I am confident my wife and daughter will be well represented before a jury of their peers. While we all may have shortcomings in day to day grinding of any profession, missed emails, returned calls, and so on, I feel the time to be your sharpest is in the trial preparations and when you step into the courtroom. I have the utmost confidence that Jay English will prepare and try this case with the highest standards for the benefit of my family.

Jay English did not handle my case at a professional level.Will not return calls .Had a very harsh letter from a judge on matters that were not filed properly.When the last appeal was denied i did not receive a phone call or letter notifing me.In the last 3months,i have called his office numerous tim...es.Im always told ,he is out of the office.My messages are never returned. I would not recommend him to anyone.
