Victor Rivera helped me with my criminal possession charge in 2015. He was very patient, gracious, and extremely professional throughout the entire 2 and a half year process. He even agreed to work with me from out of state as I am a Florida resident who had a case in Argyle, Texas. From the moment I...

Victor started off great, and was able to accomplish what was needed in little time in my CPS case. It's a shame that when people post negative comments that there is no way for the public to verify the truth about the comments being made. This review is filled with incorrect information. Read the above review carefully. First, Jeremy claims that I "started off great, and was able to accomplish what was needed in little time in my CPS case." However, Jeremy leaves a 1-star review. Unfortunately, Jeremy fails to mention any of the details of the case. Due to attorney-client privilege, I cannot discuss the case even though it is public information but Jeremy did mention it was a CPS case. My actions and experience were pivotal in saving Jeremy's parental rights and that is why Jeremy says I "started off great." Ask yourself, if I save your rights to your child[ren], would that justify a 1-star rating? I think not. Jeremy further states that because "an email that was sent to [his] caseworker that was very negative in tone, [I] was not permitted any direct communication with my caseworker nor her supervisor." Once again, Jeremy fails to mention that because I was fighting to save his rights, I ruffled some CPS feathers yet I am still working with the DA's office to get the child back into Jeremy's custody. Whether CPS wants to talk directly to me or not is irrelevant. If I have upset CPS then I am doing my job as a family law attorney. Everything I have done has been for Jeremy's benefit, not mine, so why does he leave a 1-star rating? As for the emails and communications, those are all lies as I have spoken with the client by phone and he was informed of everything that was going on with his case. Motions were not filed to save him money and he understood. He was even thankful for me thinking about his pocketbook. Jeremy agreed to the direction of his case and my actions yet he now complains. Interesting. Moving on, there is no May 16 email between me and Jeremy as he claims. There is an email from Jeremy to me on May 18 which states that he cannot pay his bill as required by the contract and needed a special payment plan but he does not mention that. I could have said no but I took his financial situation into consideration and made special payment arrangements for him. Jeremy also sends several emails to me on May 25, while I was in Court for another client, and because I did not reply the same day, he gets upset. He sends another email on May 26 to which I replied. So, unlike Jeremy, I have documented proof of everything as any good attorney should. The truth of the matter is that because CPS is still in Jeremy's life, Jeremy is mad and he has decided to take it out on me and my law firm with this and several other negative reviews. He even went as far as attacking my Christianity in an email which is uncalled for. I also have an email dated May 25 from Jeremy apologizing to me for his angry emails and he clearly states in the email that he is mad at CPS, not me. Unfortunately, CPS cannot be rated and they cannot get a 1-star so he gives it to me. Thus, when you read Jeremy's review, do not believe everything you read. Instead, I would suggest reading all of the other reviews previous clients have posted and take note that I have been named a Super Lawyer in Family Law four (4) years and was named Best Lawyer in 2015 by a local newspaper. I would not receive these honors if Jeremy's review were in fact true. Thanks and God bless, Victor Rivera, JD, MBA Board Certified Family Law Specialist Texas Board of Legal Specialization
