EX tried to take my visitation rights away!

I was served a temporary restraining order out of the blue by my child’s mom that prevented me from seeing my child! She filed a motion to modify to take away my visitation rights. This was very stressful. Elisa had less than 6 days to prepare for my TRO hearing. I talked to 5 other attorneys who all... wanted to file an extension until I found Elisa. Elisa knew the opposing attorney, the judge, and court very well. She suggested that we do not file an extension, but instead we should get to work immediately. She was ultra responsive and we came extremely prepared to the hearing. The other party chose to settle after seeing how prepared Elisa was. The case was dismissed and I received a favorable outcome. Elisa is very strategic, smart, and compassionate.

Great family law/child custody

We obtained Elisa’s services to assist with our foster care/child custody needs. She immediately responded to our emails, calls and questions. Her dedication and legal knowledge was invaluable to the successful outcome of our case. Would not hesitate to use her services again.

Helpful, friendly, and patient

Elisa was amazing and dealing with the drama of my divorce. I applaud her ablity to bring my case to a quick conclusion. LGBTQI+ friendly was appreciated and hard to find in this part of the world sometimes. Highly recommend to anyone needing her services.

A Thorough, Thoughtful and Tactful Attorney

Attorney Reiter earned her 5 STARS for the thorough representation of my divorce. She listened to my needs, provided me with copious documents to review in advance and gave me scenarios of the process before I even filed (just to make sure I was ready to proceed). She explained EVERYTHING that was go...ing to occur in each step of the process and offered advice to allow me to decide what was best for me. Even when I was delayed in getting requested documents, she was tactful in her reminders, to keep me on track. She recognized some negotiation decisions were difficult for me and was thoughtful in encouraging me on how to make the decision. Finally, she had a good sense of humor in the midst of a stressful and sometimes frustrating process. But she's a "get the job done in the best interest of her client" type of person. I was extremely pleased with her services!

From the time of our first phone interaction to my court appearance, Elisa was by my side the entire time. Explained the entire process and what to expect.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
