Very dissapointing experience.

Our initial visit was very encouraging and we handed over a $1500 retainer regarding a very difficult child custody case. We were supposed to hear from Ms. Rodriquez within a few days... When we didn't hear from her, we called. Then we called again... She would not return voice mails, emails, or text...s. We had a court date looming and were very anxious to visit with her. She did not respond to us or opposing counsel regarding very time sensitive issues. We had to find the money to retain a different attorney (who has been so attentive). The whole experience was devastating. And we lost the $1500 retainer we entrusted to Ms. Rodriquez.

Made No Movement on Case

We hired this Attorney to represent an Adoption Case. We paid the no refundable retainer and then we heard nothing more from her. No return phone calls or calls in general, no texts answered or emails. After being told our Case would be completed within 5 to 6 months, our Case wasn't even filed of re...cord until almost 4 months after hiring her with no notification. (By that time we should've already have been done with background checks and Home Studies that were not even started yet) We had issues where their needed to be contact to another State, but none of that documentation ever got presented or filed of record. In fact none of our documents were getting filed of record, nor were we receiving any copies or phone calls. After no movement on our case in 8 months time, we were forced to take out another Retainer to a different Attorney, which btw completed our entire case in less than 3 months. We did not like the slow movement, no correspondence/corresponding and no documents/copies for our records. Currently working with the BAR Association on this Attorney.

Completely Unprepared

I started my custody case representing my self, Pro-Se, prior to hiring Mrs. Rodriguez. After hiring her, I knew I had made a mistake. Mrs. Rodriguez did not prepare for my custody case. She did not call me when she said she would. She did not take the time to get to know the details of my case and ...showed up to court unfamiliar with my case. She did not subpoena any of the witnesses I requested. She did not call the Court Ordered Visitation Supervisor (Paternal Grandmother who I brought to court) as a witness. She did not cross examine witnesses presented by the opposing side. I retained custody of my son because of the work I had done prior to hiring Mrs. Rodriguez. She said I won. I say not because of her. I have filed a complaint against Brigida Rodriguez with the state. If you hire Brigida Rodriguez, do so at your own risk and do all the work yourself.

Rude, Untrustworthy, and just a flat out BAD person

At first she makes your feel good like it will be an open and shut case, thats her mistake, she has been doing this so long that she lumps every case as the same and under estimates the other party. Saying "oh he won't put up a fight". After she has to fight even just a little bit she quits and get l...azy blaming you for a small mistake. She won't talk to you prior to the hearings she actually SHEWED me away TWICE before I was able to talk to her before my case. She would rather talk to the opposing lawyer about things not pertaining to the case. I understand that lawyers know each other. But come on you are at the court house for MY case on MY dollar so you need to talk to ME about that is going to happen. She was unprepared and did not get me any council of kind. DO NOT HIRE. She will just screw your case and give everything to the opposing side.
