Very dissapointing experience.

Our initial visit was very encouraging and we handed over a $1500 retainer regarding a very difficult child custody case. We were supposed to hear from Ms. Rodriquez within a few days... When we didn't hear from her, we called. Then we called again... She would not return voice mails, emails, or text...s. We had a court date looming and were very anxious to visit with her. She did not respond to us or opposing counsel regarding very time sensitive issues. We had to find the money to retain a different attorney (who has been so attentive). The whole experience was devastating. And we lost the $1500 retainer we entrusted to Ms. Rodriquez.

Disappointed and feel duped

All I will say is that she was very nice via phone, in person I thought she was great. We discussed what would be done PRIOR to going forward with any filing....only to never be sent anything, for a case to be filed un-beknowngst to me, with the court telling me that if I didnt want it on file or I ...didnt wish to proceed, I would need to then file something myself saying I didnt want to do xyz....and pay more money. There was no communication from her office. The office person didnt seem to be informed either. I honestly am not sure how things could be so messed up within a matter of days....but my credit card was sure charged that same day! I would not recommend this person unfortunately.

Completely Unprepared

I started my custody case representing my self, Pro-Se, prior to hiring Mrs. Rodriguez. After hiring her, I knew I had made a mistake. Mrs. Rodriguez did not prepare for my custody case. She did not call me when she said she would. She did not take the time to get to know the details of my case and ...showed up to court unfamiliar with my case. She did not subpoena any of the witnesses I requested. She did not call the Court Ordered Visitation Supervisor (Paternal Grandmother who I brought to court) as a witness. She did not cross examine witnesses presented by the opposing side. I retained custody of my son because of the work I had done prior to hiring Mrs. Rodriguez. She said I won. I say not because of her. I have filed a complaint against Brigida Rodriguez with the state. If you hire Brigida Rodriguez, do so at your own risk and do all the work yourself.

GREAT, aggressive attorney!

There is never a child custody case that doesn’t bring you to an emotional roller coaster of heart ache and worry. She left the worrying up to herself and delivered results which were for the best interest of the child. She continuously and (personally) kept me informed and updated on our case on a w...eekly basis and she was extremely honest and very aggressive. I have never been happier with an attorney and the best part about it is that she is willing to work with you financially, because custody battles DO get very costly. She won’t lead you on and will tell you honestly what your case is looking at for the outcome. If you are not wanting an aggressive attorney who will fight for what is right, take your money elsewhere. I would highly recommend her to anyone going through a custody dispute and I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again in the future if ever needed!
