Jacob Charles Boswell

Jacob was born and raised in Dallas. He attended Dallas Christian School in Mesquite and was a member of Lake Highland's Boy Scout Troop 143 where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Only 6.2% of all Boy Scouts ever reach the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.

     Jacob played NCAA Division II basketball at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas for 2 years before graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in Public Administration from the Univeristy of Texas at Dallas. While at UT Dallas, Jacob was able to work with Rowlett's late Judge Belinda Loveland in creating an after school youth diversion and intervention program called R.O.C.K. (Reaching Our Community's Kids). He also clerked for a well-known defense firm in Texarkana who conducted toxic tort and products liability litigation. 

     Jacob attended the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University where he traveled to Key West, FL and San Diego, CA to participate in mock trial competitions and led his division of the civil legal clinic for over a year in litigation against the Dallas Independent School District. Jacob worked as an intern for a Judge Carl Ginsberg, Dallas County judge where he witnessed numerous trials and learned about a variety of legal issues. He then spent a summer in Phoenix, Arizona working as a student prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office where he participated in prosecuting felony DUI trials, securing a guilty verdict after conducting an entire trial on his own. 

    During his third year of law school, Jacob clerked at a small defense litigation firm in Dallas where he learned the ins and outs of the civil justice system. When he graduated and passed the bar exam in 2009, he was offered the oppurtinty to practice at the firm. For the next two years, Jacob drafted and argued numerous discovery and summary judgment motions in state and federal court and drafted several state appellate briefs, including a petition for review to the Texas Supreme Court. 

     Beginning in January of 2012, Jacob created this firm in order to widen the variety of cases he handled and thereby represent a larger number of business, and families in Texas.
