Compassionate

Jennifer is a wonderful woman, understanding and passionate. With her I felt taken care of in the best way in all areas. She works sufficiently and one gets assured right away that she truly do know the law to its fullest. I felt safe and cared for from start to finish. If I had to use two words ...to describe Jennifer it would be honest and insightful. I give her my very best recommendations

Awesome in every way

I hope my experience provides comfort for those deciding whether or not to choose Jennifer at Chavez and Valko to represent them regarding their immigration issues. There is no one better than Jennifer. I'm a US citizen who was lucky enough to fall in love with my wonderful wife who happens to ...be an immigrant. We married, had a child and then faced a critical life changing issue involving her ability to become a permanent USA resident. We searched the internet for help and landed upon Chavez and Valko. From our first meeting, we knew we came to the right place. Attorney Jennifer provided expertise well beyond our expectations and was available, day or night to answer any questions. Jennifer was always by our side, every inch of the way, including up to the USCIS interview. The USCIS official stated that the documentation she submitted was most organized ever seen. USCIS approved our application in 15 minutes! Jennifer was awesome in every way possible - the very best! There are many positive characteristics about Jennifer including her proven expertise in immigration law and superior professionalism that includes straightforward interaction with her clients; however, as impressive is her sincere, caring attitude. It's obvious she loves what she does - helping people. All of these virtues are hard to find, but we found them with Jennifer. HEF, June 2017

Hands Down, The Best!

We had a complicated immigration case, an old un-adjudicated I-751 (5 years), and a new N-400. The first citizenship interview (with different attorney) did not go well, the immigration officer refused to review and adjudicate the old I-751, said would provide a decision within 120 days. Decision ne...ver came so attorney sent an official inquiry. USCIS answer to the inquiry was a new interview date. Our attorney was not available on the interview date, so they set us up with Ms Burton. We we nervous, and scared we would get the same response as before. Ms. Burton met with us before the interview, helped prepare my husband and answer any questions we could think of. We left the meeting feeling hopeful. On the interview date, my husband was called, Ms. Burton was sitting with us. The immigration officer asked "Did you know you have an open I-751?" Ms Burton immediately answers "Yes, and it has been 5 years, we are hoping you will be able to adjudicate both cases today." The immigration officer said she didn't think she would be able to do that, but said she would come back to speak to us. A bit later, another immigration officer came out and said "The immigration officer assigned to your case just is not comfortable adjudicating both cases today." Ms Burton immediately stood up for us saying "They have been waiting 5 years, they have also been married 5 years, they are nervous, scared and take time off work every time they need to come to this office and they get the same answer. It's no longer fair to them. Is there no way both cases can be adjudicated today?" The officer tried to push us off and say because we lived in the area it isn't an inconvenience, but Ms. Burton kept pushing. The officer relented and asked "Are you willing to wait even if it takes hours?" We agreed, and he said he would come back. He came back and said the office assigned the case agreed to review the old I-751, and move forward with adjudicating both cases, for us to wait until called. Ms. Burton sat with us waiting, when it was time for my husband to go into the interview, Ms. Burton went with him. The end result was he passed his citizenship tests, and was recommended for approval on citizenship. We received the invitation for oath ceremony in less than 1 week from the interview date! Ms. Burton is extremely knowledgeable, very passionate about her work and her clients. She is not afraid to speak up and say what needs to be said to get things done. If you are in the Dallas, Tx area, and are in need of a great immigration attorney, hands down Jennifer Villani Burton is the best, we highly recommend her!
