Daryl John Sinkule

I joined Kilgore & Kilgore PLLC in Dallas, Texas, in 2019 after almost 18 years at a leading labor and employment law firm in Houston, Texas. I am Managing Member at Kilgore & Kilgore, and I am Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. I focus my law practice on employment law civil litigation in state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings. I have handled a number of cases—across the State of Texas and the nation—involving wage and hour issues under the Fair Labor Standards Act, successfully representing numerous employees against their current and/or former employers in recovering unpaid wages and overtime wages. I also represent clients in matters involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and other employment-related federal and state statutes. Additionally, I represent C-suite executives, senior management, and other individuals in negotiating employment contracts and severance agreements, and before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission.

A graduate of Texas A&M University and the University of Houston Law Center, I am admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and all Texas state courts. I am an active member of professional organizations, including the Dallas Bar Association, the Labor & Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and the DFW chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. I am also currently a Member of the Labor & Employment Law Exam Commission of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Between 2009 and 2012, I served on the Labor & Employment Law Section Council of the Houston Bar Association, where I co-chaired the Section’s Scholarships/Grants Committee. I also formerly served on the Lawyers Against Waste Committee of the Houston Bar Association.

In 2009, I was named a “Professional on the Fast Track” by H Texas magazine, and in both 2013 and 2014, H Texas magazine designated me as one of “Houston’s Top Lawyers.” Moreover, each year between 2006 and 2013, I was fortunate enough to receive the honor of being named a Texas Rising Star® by Law & Politics and the publishers of Texas Monthly magazine. In addition, each year between 2013 and 2024, I was named a Super Lawyer® by Law & Politics and the publishers of Texas Monthly magazine. In 2024, I was also named to The Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of "Litigation - Labor & Employment" and "Employment Law - Individuals."
