Welcome! I am glad you are here. My name is Courtney Dowling and I represent individuals facing criminal charges in Dallas and the surrounding area. I know that facing criminal charges can be a confusing and frightening experience, which is why I am committed to going above and beyond for my clients. If you are facing criminal charges, I encourage you not to navigate the criminal system alone. Hire an attorney that will work hard for you to provide the representation you deserve.
As a relatively young attorney, I distinguished myself in the practice of criminal defense law. During law school at Southern Methodist University, I interned for both state and federal judges where I learned the inner dynamics of the courtroom. After graduating from law school with honors, I began prosecuting cases at the Dallas District Attorney’s Office. There I learned the skills and strategies utilized by prosecution teams.
After developing my understanding of criminal law, I left the District Attorney’s Office to work in the criminal defense section of a prominent law firm. During my years at this firm, I solidified my passion for representing clients charged with criminal offenses. More recently, I realized that I could better serve my clients by opening my own practice, dedicated entirely to criminal defense. As a sole practitioner, I will to use the skills and experience I have developed to give you the best possible representation.
Upon hiring my firm, expect to work closely with me throughout every stage of your case. Unlike some law firms, you will have access to communicating with and working with the attorney you hired. I have organized my firm to keep my case load light so that I can give each client the attention they deserve. As a result, you will receive competent, individualized representation. Every case is important to me, and I pride myself on getting the best possible outcomes for my clients.
If you are under investigation or have been charged with a criminal offense, contact me as soon as possible. I will take a personal interest in your case, and I will ensure that you receive the respect and representation that you deserve.
