Joseph Geary Patton

Joe represents individuals who need legal help with criminal investigation or prosecution. He understands that his dedication to courtroom success is just as important as his ability to resolve matters before they go to trial. Whatever is needed, Joe is committed to the best solutions for his clients’ issues. 

Joe began his legal career in San Antonio as a partner and founding member of Rogers Garcia Patton PLLC. In 2016, Joe was recognized by S.A. Scene after his peers in the legal community selected Joe as a one of the Top 100 Attorneys in San Antonio. In 2015, Joe was honored by S.A. Scene as one of the Top 10 Criminal Defense Lawyers Under 5 Years of Practice and as one of the Top 100 Family Lawyers. Joe's commitment to professional education earned him membership with the Texas Bar College which recognizes and encourages outstanding service to the legal profession and the public.

​​Joe's education from St. Mary’s School of Law and his experiences as a law clerk at Goldstein, Goldstein and Hilley laid the foundation for his legal career. These opportunities connected Joe with some of the greatest legal minds and hardest working attorneys in practice today. While working as a law clerk with Goldstein, Goldstein and Hilley, Joe gained experiences ranging from local state trials to appellate work at United States Supreme Court as well as actual innocence cases such as Michael Morton and Hannah Overton.

As a law student, Joe earned recognition as both a Nation Member of the Order of the Barristers and as the recipient of the Outstanding Mock Trial Award. Joe was an elected member of the St. Mary's Board of Advocates and participated in several on-campus competitions testing students' oral advocacy skills in negotiations, arbitration, trials and appeals. Joe was selected to compete on the behalf of St. Mary's extracurricular mock trial team and traveled all over the United States competing against some of the best law school advocacy programs in the country.
