Biography
Robert Johnston. Robert Johnston is a licensed attorney who is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has been assisting clients with trademarks for more than 30 years. He graduated from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, where he focused on intellectual property. He also holds a M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and an engineering degree from Baylor University. He spent many years with large, national and international law firms before starting this firm. Robert is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Texas Bar Association, the Texas Bar College, the Dallas Bar Association, Licensing Executive Society (LES), the American Bar Association, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). Mr. Johnston served as the Chair of the Intellectual Property Law section of the Dallas Bar Association and has been voted by his peers as one of D Magazine’s Best Lawyers numerous times (2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019). He lives in Dallas, Texas, and has two children.[9/24]
