About Matthew Espinosa

Born and raised in Dallas, I am a true Texas native dedicated to defending people.

I believe that helping people through tough situations is a lawyer's duty. I strive to provide that service at an affordable price with up front and clear terms. Education

High School – Jesuit College Prep (Honors Diploma) I graduated with an Honors Diploma from Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. Throughout high school, I played on the varsity golf team. My senior year, I was named team captain and received the ranger heart award, which honors athletes who exemplify the heart and soul of the school and sport.

Undergraduate College – Southwestern University (B.A. Psychology)I continued my undergraduate studies at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. While at Southwestern University, I continued to pursue my love of varsity golf. While on the golf team, I finished 2nd all-conference (2006), was a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar (2006), and made SCAC Academic Honor Roll (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006).   After graduating, I was inducted into the Southwestern University Hall of Honor for my performance on the Varsity Golf team.                         

Law School – Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law (Juris Doctor)Wanting to practice law, I continued my studies at Southern Methodist University (SMU), where I joined a selective program that allowed me to continue to work at UT Southwestern Medical Center while I completed my law degree. My first and only job as an attorney has been with the preeminent law firm of Robinius & Harper, LLP (RH, LLP). From my first days as a lawyer, RH, LLP has given me the tools, support, and passion to excel as a criminal defense lawyer. After 6 years as a lawyer, I have been able to rely upon the support of RH, LLP to open my own satellite office in Dallas. Teamed up with salesman extraordinaire, Bill Russo, we have created a self-sustaining addition to RH, LLP. This office has allowed us to expand our operation and mission of zealously defending our clients through hard fought advocacy in the courtroom.

Opening Espinosa Law Firm has enabled me to have the ability to tailor strategies appropriate for each client. The key to this approach is listening to you in an honest and open manner. This approach has enabled me to better understand the nuances of each case and use that information to obtain superior results.
