Did not perform service paid for.

I paid her to pursue remedy for non-payment of child support. I made the complete payment in full, when she asked for it, and I paid by credit card. She did nothing, remained uncommunicative in spite of numerous efforts to reach her, and subsequently said even more money was due to her, after payin...g approximately 1500$, but she had done nothing. Because I waited, thinking it took some time for her to accomplish what she said she would do, I was too late to request a refund from my credit card company. She is uncommunicative with clients, non-responsive to any request for information or an update, and generally seems most concerned with collecting the payment rather than performing the job she was hired to do. Since people don't have unlimited resources to hire another lawyer, and much more than $1500 was spent when the original amount for a custody dispute is added in, she basically puts her clients in a situation where they have wasted theirvlumited resources for her inadequate, negligent and generally incompetent performance. Another poorly trained, unprofessuonal attorney in a town with more than its share of them.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
