Lauren Effiom

I am a Dallas, Texas native. Born from Black American (Mom) and Nigerian (Dad) parents. I am the youngest of four children (so, that should tell you something about me, right? lol) A few of my hobbies include being a foodie, The Dallas Cowboys ( I have my own Sports Podcast on Youtube: Stargazer Sports), Gaming (PS5 console), and spending time with family and friends going on adventures.

I got my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. Then, I received my J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law (The People's Law School) in San Antonio, Texas. I was very fortunate to be able to graduate law school and pass the Bar during the pandemic year (2020). If you guys want, I can do a blog on that experience! During my time as an attorney I've had the opportunity to work for the Bexar County District Courts Staff Attorney's Office- where I worked as the District Court Judges' counsel and also helped Pro Se Divorce litigants navigate the divorce process, San Antonio Legal Services Association (non profit) as a Disaster Response Fellow-where I built a program to help Texas Residents affected by Winter Storm Uri in 2021 apply for FEMA benefits, and worked for two private firms that specialized in Family law, Child Protective Services defense, Criminal defense, DUI/DWI defense, and Estate Planning.

Last year (2022), I was able to take a leap of faith an open up my own firm The LEE Law Firm LLC! My firm was started due to my realization that clients need more than legal help when facing legal issues. I want to be able to provide my clients with access to resources that can help them move forward in all aspects of their lives (financially, mentally, physically, and spiritually).
