This lawyer seemed to almost be on the other sides team… it was almost weird. He constantly weighed down what I deserved by insinuating and assuming what the other lawyer would say in rebuttal. On top of that he completely used me and my parents for their money. We really needed his help and expertis...e to fight the final trial in my divorce, which also would determine if I or my husband got custody of my kids. For $10,000 he convinced me to settle with what his and wanted and told me he didn’t want to go to the trial. He didn’t want to do the work of putting together a strong case in my favor. Instead, he manipulated me into agreeing what they wanted which reallllly hurt me and will cost me way more money in the future. All I got in my divorce is half our home. I should have gotten half of everything we built over a 16 yr marriage. I also didn’t get half his 401k, nor half the furniture that we bought over all 16 years. But most of all, he didnt fight for custody of my children. He basically convinced me into a contract, stating we could make changes still, and when all was said and done, he said “NOPE! This is a final contract and you cannot change anything on it. Tommy’s a lawyer who needed to retire a long time ago. He’s using people for their money when they are extremely vulnerable. He literally didn’t do anything for me that I couldn’t have gotten for myself for free. He also lied about the amount of time he worked my case, and he never refunded the balance due back to my parents after the trial was over. Shady lawyer at its best!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
