This lawyer has my brother held in jail for almost a year not going to state the situation but he didn't harm anybody in any type of way.... This man will not pick up nor take my brother to court when he goes he has rescheduled court dates 3 times my brother has been called for court im so tired of t...his get over system but I promise God has the last so in all of this Doug you'll have your judgement day know that.... Do not I repeat do not choose him as a lawyer.

He had been my husband's lawyer for the three months he's been in jail.. He has not pushed his case or even touched it i call and call no answer and mailbox is full he never returns call and when he finally does answer after tricking him and calling from a different number he says call after four the...n never answers... That's his favorite line or that he's in trial.. After finally reminding him about my husband's case when i finally got a hold of him he set him a court date cause he said it hasn't even been touched he was a no show had my husband in a holdover all day cause he decided not to show!!! He has finally decided to fire him after giving him chances.. Court appointed or not it's still your job.... I would not recommend this man to anyone and if he is get a new one... That is all carry on (:

I've worked with Doug on many cases. I've been practicing criminal law for 22 years and can state without a doubt that Doug Schopmeyer is an excellent, learned attorney. He's one of the smartest attorneys I know. The fact that this scam site allows a convicted child molester to disparage such fine... attorney is pathetic.

All this man does is blow smoke up your rear. He tells you what you want to hear. But when you tell him your concerns/situations, when it comes time, all of the sudden, he states that has never been told to him. HE WORKS FOR THE CITY, NOT HIS CLIENTS. People who work hard but cant get money together ...for a paid lawyer, relies on a court appointed lawyer for help. He doesn't care about the case or the people involved. Not once did he go to the Jail to speak to the client. Please if you get him as a court appointed lawyer, ask for someone else. He will not handle the case like it should be. If you do get him as a lawyer please do not listen to him. Go with your gut feeling and and do what you think is right. and do not waive your right to a jury or listen and not take a plea bargin. If anything probation will not happen. and you will end up getting the maximum time
