J. Cameron Cowan took over 2k to charge us for a free consult, prior to us hiring him, didn’t know until we received the bill, never answered our calls,. Amanda Mulder was always out of the office for the day at 2pm, the day of discovery hearing we received an email that he filed to withdrawal from o...ur case a week before! Claiming we were unresponsive, this lawyer is a crook!

The absolute worst lawyer. He does not operate with integrity. He doesn't represent the client's best interests. He is a liar and a cheat. Linda and Rachel are full of sh!t also. Do not hire this a$$hole unless you want to pay for two lawyers. One lawyer (Cameron) to sit on his fat a$$ and collect m...oney, the other lawyer to actually represent you. I highly recommend that you hire a competent attorney that has a real set of skills.

In my recent experience, and opinion based upon that experience, unless there is a chance Mr Cowan is going to make a copious amount of money off of your divorce, he just doesn't care about you. In my initial "free" consultation, he spent a substantial amount of time interrupting the consult so he co...uld deal with issues regarding his upcoming family cruise, yet he charged me for going over the 30 minute "free" consult. He showed up late to court, each time we had a hearing, unprepared, apparently ready to "wing it". After the last temporary order hearing, I inquired as to what documentation, etc... that I needed to provide him for the final trial / disposition and was completely ignored for nearly 2 months, right up until a day before the final trial, yet was charged for his eventually answering at the last minute... only because he had gotten a call from my wife's attorney. Had my wife and I not reconciled, we would have gone into the final trial with NOTHING prepared. I highly discourage anyone using Mr Cowan's services.

We were referred to him for family law matters from a friend of mine. He was great needless to say and I have worked in law for 12 years. We got a meeting, set up a plan and got it done. Him and his assistant always got with me somehow someway and he was very helpful in explaining what was what and c...ost, etc. I could have not been more pleased with the outcome of our court orders and the service his office provided.
