William David Burrows

I found myself in the unfortunate and scary situation of needing a lawyer. I did quite a bit of research and came across David. I noticed he had excellent reviews from former clients so I decided to go to his office to meet him. From the moment I met him, I could see why he had such positive reviews..., and I knew instantly that he would be the best person to represent me. From start to finish, David kept me informed of every detail of my case and never set any unfair expectations. He is very affordable depending on your income. Though it was a very difficult time, I was able to find comfort knowing I was getting the best representation in the DFW area. David is so well versed in DWI cases, he knew exactly what to look for in preparation of fighting my case. We looked over my police dashcam video and he studied my blood report down to every last detail. I witnessed David intentionally fight for me with a few different prosecutors. He is not a lawyer who will back down. David knows the ins and outs of the legal system better than anyone so he knows when the prosecutors are being fair or excessive. In my case, the prosecutors were being excessive in my punishment so David found it best to keep fighting and waiting for a new prosecutor. I am extremely happy with the resolution that I'm very confident would not have been reached if David wasn't my lawyer. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if David was not representing me. I was given a month house arrest, no jail time or probation, and fines waived. David Burrows was sent to me from God he is a fantastic attorney. This attorney cares about his clients it's not just about money with him. He truly is a stand up guy who will work hard for you ! As previous review have said when you speak with him it's like talking to a friend. My story is that I ...was pulled over one night by an officer stating my lights were off. Informed the officer that I did not realize that they were not on ...Because they automatically come on when you turn the vehicle on. He ask for my license ,but misplaced them offered to show another form of I'd & insurance. Since I could locate my driver license he wanted to get out of the vehicle and do a test . At that point he had already called for backup 2 other officers showed up. To make a long story short when the officer ran my plates he saw that there was a previous charge. I felt that he was just trying to found a reason to arrest me not only did he try to arrest me for a dwi ,but also resisting arrest. I have never had any kind of altercations with any officers in my life. Thank God for sending David to me as my attorney without him this could have went a differently . I was charged with a DWI and open container, i had a .247 BAC, this is my first time being in trouble with the law and in the works of finishing up school with a criminal justice degree and wanting to pursue a career in the legal field I had to make sure I had the best lawyer to represent me through... this case. I was referred by a co-worker to Mr. Burrows after he had an amazing experience with Mr. Burrows. My first time calling Mr. Burrows, personally answered and had a personable conversation. During my consultation he listened to my side of the story went over the police report advised me what my BAC and let me know that Texas law states a BAC over .15 is automatically a breathalyzer but he will try to fight it. I didn't have to go to my hearings, Mr. Burrows went for me and would text me with the results of each hearing, he was always easy to contact and always updated me on all hearings. Finally he called me after one of the hearings letting me know that one of the prosecutors agreed to no breathalyzer in my vehicle, and only 15 months of probation and had me come in to court the next day to sign off to the plea bargain. The judge agreed to no breathalyzer, Mr. Burrows also requested my surcharges be dropped due to my financial situation and the judge dropped the surcharges as well. Mr. Burrows exceeded all of my needs and expectations, I am beyond grateful for all of his hard work and determination, I would definitely recommend to anyone fighting a DWI case,

I was stopped for DWI in Collin County. Initial charge was that I changed lanes without signalling - which was true - and that I was swerving in the lane - which was false (as even the videos showed later). It was a Saturday night and the cops were obviously looking for drunk drivers (like they shoul...d). It was the last few days of the month - I do not know if this was a factor. I hired one lawyer for handling the case, but in a couple of weeks, discovered that he/his firm was very shoddy in its practices. They did not file proper ALR hearing request, but upon my follow-up on this, pretended that they did - by showing me what was obviously to me a fake document. My *guess* is that they fooled a lot of clients in this manner. Sad to see that there are unethical lawyers like this. I searched online, found David Burrows and interviewed him, among others. Right off the bat, I could make out that David was honest and ethical, would fight for his client and not just try to make money of the case and not care what happened to his client. I decided to hire him as my lawyer. It was the best thing I did in this whole ordeal. David was, simply put, awesome from beginning to end. Whenever I met with him, it was more like meeting with a friend rather than with a lawyer. I always felt like he would do the maximum he can to win the case. David advised me on how to get a copy of my records from the police department (all the videos etc.) and reviewed them multiple times while we were waiting for the blood test police report to come through. He also helped me get an ODL (Occupational Driver's License) so I could continue driving for work for the next six months. My blood test results had came in below the threshold of 0.08, but the county decided to file a DWI case anyway (interesting that they can do that even when it is below the legal limit.) Through the following months, David met with me many times and reviewed the case. He advised me that getting a blood re-test might be helpful, and I decided to opt for that. It was good advice - the results came in 16% lower than the previous and helped cement my case. When the case came up for pre-trial he discussed with me the options of going for a judge-trial or a jury-based trial. I let him be the judge on that decision as I had no prior experience in this matter. We went with the judge trial and it took may be 15-20 minutes for the judge to dismiss the case. David was a god-send as far as I am concerned. I had never known him before this case but I would unhesitatingly refer him to others.
