I came to David after I was charged with my 2nd DWI. My first I take full responsibility for yet, my 2nd was a struggle to come to terms with. Not just with the hurt and struggle of putting my family through the ordeal for another go around but truthfully knowing there is no way I could handle anothe...r 2 years of my life owed again and indebted to Collin County - it is in my personal opinion the worst county in the nation for the severity of this charge. He was upfront and honest from the beginning, off beat but the best. I sincerely thank the lord and view this gift as an opportunity to share my story and not be another statistic yet, a role model in representation and show that the good still prevail and that you can get your life back. I made myself sick about going to trial yet, he literally kept me updated and I loved those random texts out of the blue with good news pertaining to my case. He dedicates his time to researching all factors and outlines the best defense. I hired David Burrows as my attorney based on several friend's and co-worker's recommendations. He really does supersede his excellent reputation. He is warm, friendly, and compassionate with absolutely no judgement. He understood the severity of my case, being that it is my 2nd DWI and the implicati...ons it could cause for my very public occupation. I also had 2 breathalyzer violations during my bond supervision, before we went to trial. I really believed I did not have a shot, but had to give it a try. From the first meeting, David took notes and was very attentive. He was always available for any questions and would even encourage me text him anytime. The trail came down to my credibility versus the testimony of 3 police officers who were on the scene when I was arrested. That is a very difficult situation to be in because most people would automatically give 1 police officer more credibility. During trial he took notes, strategized, and made everyone in the courtroom laugh. He is hilarious and down to earth. By noticing the small inconsistencies in the officer's testimony and police reports he was able to show the jury that the prosecution could not prove my case beyond a reasonable doubt. I truly believe that I would be serving jail time if I had hired any other attorney. David was a pleasure to work with. Anytime I had a question I could easily get a hold of him. He always ensured that I never had to be at the courthouse any longer than I needed so that I could get back to work. I had a DUI on New Years Day of 2014. My friends had told me that my girlfriend had... had too much to drink, and in the course of diving her home a car ran a red light in front of me while turning right. When I swerved to avoid them my car popped over the median and a wheel came off. The other car drove away. I called 911 to get my car off of the road as soon as possible on the holiday night, and they decided to arrest me based on the circumstances. I passed my field sobriety exams and was very polite, so I was confused when they arrested me after I was the one who called them. By the time they got me to the station I blew a .09. My case was delayed two years before David finally got it dismissed because it became apparent that the police officer was not going to make an appearance for the trial.

If I could describe David in one word, it would be: effective. When I first came to David I was extremely downcast about my case; I had been arrested for a DWI, and to make matters worse I had provided proof that I was guilty by blowing in a Breathalyzer. David immediately put me at ease. Just walkin...g into his office gave me hope- there were literally hundreds of thank you cards along his hall that were from cases that he won. To make a long story short, David got my charge of a DWI DROPPED to a lesser charge, with one year of NON-REPORTING probation. During the whole process, I was never worried about anything. David would always text or call me to let know how my case was going and the things I needed to do to help my case. Never did I feel like my lawyer was calling, I always thought of him like a helping friend. I was recently hired as a teacher, but because my probation was still in effect I was going to be deemed as ineligible. I immediately called David and without hesitation he scheduled to meet with the judge two days later to motion for my probation to be dropped. It got dropped a week later and now I can have a career.
